Hi guys , i got virgin media 8 months ago and my discount period is over and I got the price increase letter and phoned to cancel and someone phoned me (could be sales and not retentions) yesterday to offer me this
£19 for 50 Mb BB / XL Phone + Call Display + Call Waiting [if line rental paid in advance]
I am Currently paying for my package £29.40 (line rental was paid in advance) , so my question can i do better ?
I would be happy with that.
You are lucky they are letting you change things before you are 18 months in !0 -

They have no choice as they are putting up the prices
I am debating wether to go for it as it will mean i pay 19+13.60=£32.60 a month for 50 MB BB and Tel line rental and unlimited local calls.0 -

Well I have seen some quoting £19pm for all that but with weekend calls only. £8 extra for anytime calls so £27pm. There's no such thing as unlimited local calls so I'm assuming you mean anytime calls to UK landlines.
But it's not too bad.0 -

Sounds a terrible deal.
After paying for the line rental annually upfront, I pay £5 per month (structured as 6 months at £5, 6 at £9.99, plus a £30 credit upfront) for 50 MB BB, Caller ID, and weekend calls.
So you would be paying £14 per month for the weekday calls and the call waiting.0 -
I was going to refuse it
as i think that was sales and not retentions !

BB XL
TV XL
Phone weekends free
+Sky sports
It's about £80 at the moment not including line rental as i paid for the saver.
Been trying to negiotiate.
So far the best offer is £54 including increasing calls to free evenings but loosing BT sport. That also does not include line rental.
Going to try again soon as think that is not great.0
