i cancelled my contract for broadband only, last week, a couple of days later i got called by the retention team offering me L fibre optic broadband for £13.50 after i quoted ee broadband + phone offer of £13.50. Happy days.0

Put my cancellation request in a few days ago as i am out of a contract they weren't offering anything amazing to be honest.
Have 152Mb only for £33.75 a month but was maybe looking to get XL TV added and was offered the big kahuna bundle for £59.99 which i wasn't happy with so cancellation team dropped it to £56 which i still refused and asked what best 152Mb only price was, £31 was best price on a new 12 month contract.
So have refused both so will wait and see if they phone and offer anything. Currently have Sky Family for £16.50 a month for the full contract which is ending next month so might see if Sky will renew the offer if not will cancel and get partner to sign up.0 -
Got a call from Virgin today and accepted the offer they gave which was.
100mb only for £22.50 which i am pleased with as my bill was previously £33.75. 152mb wasn't really being used to its full extent anyway as not in alot so save me some cash per month.
Will try Sky in the next few day's to see what they are offering on TV side of things. See if they can give a good deal with Movies included0 -
Getting cut off tomorrow after my 30 day cancellation is up,been with virgin for about 12 years, been paying £53 for 20 mb of broadband talk unlimited an standard TV box ,told them I only wanted 50mb broadband and standard phone.the best deal they came back with was £23.99.they tried first with £31,£29.99,24.99 then 23.99 so looking at it they tried more than once to rip me off, this is wrong.bad pricing.com the end0

sky prem hd
extra box (old Ntl)0 -
My package has gone up from £60.37 in January to £71.18 in March. I've just phoned Virgin and all they have offered me is to bring the cost of my bundle down to £64.49 a month.
My bundle is 30mb broadband
XL tv
m phone
an extra tivo box
I have just gotten a feedback call from them and I have told them that the next call they get from me will be to cancel my services.
Jeez. I've just been on chat with Sky. Pressurised selling or what!!!
If I do phone to cancel, how likely is it that they will call me back with a better offer?0 -

Do it and find out! If they don't contact you, the world won't end. You can always ring up the day before you're due to go off and rescind the cancellation if you can't live without the service."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

I got the below deal via their retentions team (put in cancellation request and they called me back after about one week).
100mb broadband
TV XL on TiVo for two rooms
Line rental
1000 anytime minutes (mob, international etc)
Caller ID.
£52.66pm (this is paying the line rental of £164 in advance, so £39 going out of my account every month).
Hope this helps.0 -

Thanks. I'm going to phone them and cancel tomorrow. I got a good offer from Sky but they wanted me to sign up there and then and were annoyingly pushy. It's useful to ne able to tell Virgin about it though.0 -
Did the annual thing and called Virgin Media at the beginning on the month to cancel my services, citing that I’m going over to SKY.
Just had a call from retention’s who offered the following from the off (which I accepted):
New 12-Month contract (both phone & tv)
TV XL
1TB Tivo
2 x V+boxes
Phone M inc Line Rental
100MB Broadband
All of the above for £34.74 per month (all inclusive of line rental).0
