Does anyone know where full details of price increases from 1st Feb are on Virgin Media website ?
My total increase is £4.84/month made up of:
£1/month on Line Rental (£15.99 to £16.99/month)
£3.84/month on Broadband (M) (£25.65 to £29.49/month)
This is getting silly, price increases over last few years !
Have other people had same £3.84/month increase on Broadband (M) ???
CORRECTION:
Phoned VM again to check price increases again, now been told:
Talk Unlimited is increasing by £1/month
Broadband (M) is increasing by £2.84/month (not £3.84)

I rang to negotiate a better deal. Currently we have:
XL TV
30 mb Broadband
Talk evenings and weekend phone
1 TB TiVo
£51.99 a month and it's just too expensive, the price just creeps up and up for no more discernible difference and with February's price rise still to add on, we feel as now we're out of contract we could negotiate something better. I rang today, was polite, charming and so on but she wouldn't budge. We felt basic package was better financially so they offered M everything @ £34.00 a month. Using a quick comparison, Talk Talk offer pretty much that with 40mb fibre BB for £25.95 a month for 12 months then £35.90 for the remaining 6 months thereafter. I pointed this out but she refused point blank to match it and kept trying to get me to see that Talk Talk's Fibre Broadband was crap compared to VM's fibre optic BB. I said I'd manage on 10mb easily but she just humphed and said 'well f*** off to them' (essentially!!!)
I cancelled .........0 -

Hi,
Just been offered this:
TVXL: 500GB TiVo as main box and extra V HD box.
PhoneXL: Caller ID, Talk International (1,000 mins).
Broadband: 100MB.
Line rental.
=£51.
Anyone think this is a good / bad offer? Called from retentions about two weeks away from disconnection.
Also offered:
Broadband: 50MB
Line rental.
= £18.40.0 -
Just got called to cancel and got:
Broadband L (Up to 50Mb)
Phone (Basic)
for £24.49 per month. It's the price you see on the website (£17.50 + £16.99) minus a £10 a month loyalty discount.
I just stuck with the offer inbound retentions gave me. I didn't push further or try for the outbound retentions thing (I've done that before) as it seemed a good price to me. Although looking that the last post at £18.40 I maybe should've done that.0 -
This is the deal I got after giving my 30 days notice to leave 10 days ago.
Free line rental for a year
50MB broadband
XL unlimited telephone
M+ TV
Caller display
SuperHub 2
£29 for 18 months.
I did have to wait 10 days before the retention guy rang and I initially rejected his first offer of £31 and free line rental.0 -
I have just rang them.... we could get the big khauna(silly name) for £59.99 or with all calls for £67.99
currently our bills are between 70 and 90 wth phone calls

Have been negotiating with Virgin over the last few days and posting updates in the main Virgin price thread but thought I'd include here in case it helps anyone else.
Currently have
30Mb BB
TV M
Phone anytime
Multitalk 250 - 0845 and mobiles
have been paying £30/m although took line rental saver on top so was slightly less overall
Was told it was going up to nearly £50 after price rise and loss of discounts.
Current offer:
BB 50Mb (free supercharge upgrade already offered)
TV M
Phone - anytime calls
Multi-talk 1000 - replacement for existing add-on just with more minutes
6 months Netflix
£30 per month including line rental.
I think we wee on the exact same package as you for the last year, one of the agents called it 'Multi Triple', the three services for £30/month. Everything has now dropped off and the bill is at £43.65 now.
I've tried playing the game a couple of times so far but getting through to pretty unhelpful agents at the other end. Both times I've been told that the price is what it says on the bill and that is the only package they offer. I think we may have to go down the 'cancellation' route as there is a package with BT which I think compares pretty well and would come in less than £30 once cashback is factored in.0 -
I phoned to cancel a few days ago, and apparently they phoned me back yesterday. I'm at work every weekday until around 7pm. Does anyone know if they phone after this time, or if they even try you a second time?retirement savings target: £100,000 by 2032 start: £21200 Jun 22, Jun 23:0

My £30 deal finished this month as well. I was also told that the £43 was the new price and if I want to save money then I should change to M phone and use my mobile more!0
