Not sure if this is a good or bad deal...
Was paying £26.14 a month for 50mbps broadband and M phone. This was inclusive of an £8 loyalty discount that's due to expire at the end of November.
I contacted VM via their online chat service and mentioned I was thinking of leaving - they offered me the same package for £24.49 (12 month contract with a discount for 18 months)0 -
Not great. I recently signed up for a 12 month contract with same BB/M Phone as you via a uswitch offer which with line rental saver comes to £17pm (now expired although there's a newer not quite as generous one if you google).
I did wonder about the line rental saver but I didn't fancy paying for 12 months in one go (and I'm not sure how this would affect my discount). The problem I have is that BT broadband is terrible in my area so I didn't want to go too far down the "threatening to leave" path.

Line rental saver doesn't affect your discount. They don't force you to leave just because you've threatened to do so. The only way you can go too far is if you book a cancellation date and then allow that date to arrive. If they don't ring you to try and 'change your mind', you can always call them ahead of the cancellation date and say you've decided to stay.
It's never gone that far with me, though. Usually, they've offered me a good deal as soon as I've called to say I'm thinking of leaving. Only once have I actually had to book a cancellation, and even then, they soon called and offered me a better deal.0 -
Switched to line rental saver
- I think that reduces my bill to 20 quid a month.

Its that time of the year again - after the manually applied discount ran out the disconnection request is in.
Offer from inbound retentions was pitiful - £4.50 discount (on a £120 a month bill).
Let's see what they come through with this time round...0
