Hi I currently have all virgin media services with 18 months left on my contract. The problem is I am looking to move house and the new house isn't able to get any virgin media service - I have done the post code checker on their website. What I would like to know would my contract become void and therefore I would not be liable for any cancellation fees as it isn't my fault they aren't able to provide the services? Thanks for any advice.0

Unfortunately no, you will still have to pay the full length of your contract, as it is not their fault either that you're moving.Needhelp33 wrote: »Hi I currently have all virgin media services with 18 months left on my contract. If you've been with them for a long time and you're good at arguing, they may be able to reduce the amount left to pay (around 30% discount), but you will have to pay a large portion of your contract I'm afraid.0 -
Ouch thank you its worth thinking about as the contract is about 85 a month so a hefty bill.
Thanks for your help0 -
When you call them to ask them a commercial gesture so that you don't have to pay for the full amount, make sure you have a UK customer service agent on the phone! If the guy is in Philippines, Egypt or India, ask to be transferred to the UK. The UK agents can do more than their 3rd world counterparts (and are way more competent!)Needhelp33 wrote: »Ouch thank you its worth thinking about as the contract is about 85 a month so a hefty bill.

Thank you just spoke to them I would still have to pay 765 thats with 50% knocked off for the remaining 18 months still a bit steep :mad:0
