My contract is up for renewal again and this is probably the first year I feel completely underwhelmed by thier offers even after 30 mins of negotiation. The best deal I have got so far is

TV L, BB L (30), Phone XL for £50 Per Month
TV M+, BB L (30), Phone XL for £43 Per Month

I was also offered the advance line rental deal which would knock off the equivilent of £5 per month. The only reason I have XL phone is because you cant get free overriders and most calls are in the day. Anyone managed to get a better deal?

In case anyone is in a similar position, I spoke to someone else today and got a better deal on the above.

Gone with TV L, BB L (30) and Phone XL and paid the £120 upfront for line rental. Got a £75 credit added to the account which makes the deal average at £38.25 per month (inc the line rental) for the next year, happy with that.
  • Good Morning

I rang up to haggle a deal with virgin last night (10/07/13) and was offered the following

    TV - M+ BB 30Mb - L? and Line rental for £21 a month plus the £120 advanced payment

I thought this is quite a good deal but was wondering if anyone thinks I would be able to swap the line rental for the sim only VIP 30day rolling contract?

I'm currently with Virgin 120mb broadband only (no phone, tv) Was paying £39.25. Just rang retentions explained to the very nice gentleman that I wished to cancel as I need to save money, & BT have just installed fibre in my area. Without any haggling he reduced it to £26PM fixed for 2 years on a 12 month contract. Took all of 5 minutes on the phone. Happy days as i cant fault the broadband service.

    Current deal:
    TV - basic
    Phone - basic
    Broadband - 20MB
    Total £44.14

    Been offered:
    Same TV and phone
    Broadband - 60MB
Total £25.75 (actually, £35.75, as I have to pay £120 annual line rental upfront)

Told them I'll think about it overnight!

    I'm currently on;

    TV - L
    BB - 30MB
    Phone - M

Currently paying around £48 a month. I've been offered the "Essential Collection" for £35 a month (new TiVo box) for 24 months. Has anyone else been offered this? Thoughts?

Originally :30mb Broadband, Phone - M, TV - M, Sky Sports, ESPN and Tivo

    for £60/month

Decided to downgrade to broadband only after the loss of ESPN, and landline issues.

Retentions offer!: 30MB Broadband for £23.65/month!

Then spoke to Customer Relations who offered:

    60MB Broadband for £22.50/month (12 month contract)

Phoned today, said this offer was back in December with £49.95 delivery charge.
At the moment it is £18.01. Also it is just 150 minutes to use across all 3.
