Hi, can someone help me out? I took out an 18 month contract with virgin on the 05/03/2013. At that time I did not expect to be moving. I understand that I have to pay £51 to end this contract and start a new one at my new address. What i'm not happy with is that I will not be getting the same service as it wont be fibre optic so my broadband will be much slower. There is no ariel but I cant have any TV package with broadband because there is no fibre optic in the area so I will have no TV. i'm really annoyed as I am now stuck with them providing me with a poor service and have been told the only way round this is to pay them £180. Is there any way out of this contract or am I really stuck with them?0

You are moving, not VM, your contract is specifically agreed for the services of the address where you subscribed.
As you are breaking the contract by moving you are liable for the fees. You don't have to take their national product, but if you don't you will have to pay the early termination costs.
Worth bearing in mind if you take their national product its usually a new contract too.0 -
It may not necessarily be a new contract, but a new minimum term most certainly - only a new account number will indicate a new contract.0

Hi,
I'm on a £85.49 Premier Collection package with a £5 'loyalty' discount so I'm paying £80.49 for 100MB Broadband, XL TV and XXL Phone. I now want to add Sky Movies and Sky Sports onto my account so I checked on the website where it says the VIP Collection would be cheaper as it is just the Premier Collection I am on now with Sky Sports & Sky Movies added into the bundle by default.
I spoke to retentions today where an extremely rude woman informed me that I have been a customer with Telewest/NTL/Virgin Media for 12 years and 8 months. I asked her if I could upgrade to the VIP Collection instead of leaving to Sky and she said if I did then I would lose my £5 'loyalty' discount despite being a customer for almost 13 years?!
Anyone got any suggestions? I'm actually kind of hoping to get a £20 discount if possible seeing as I've been a customer for such a long time especially seeing as new customers are being offered the same VIP Collection deal as me (£113.99) a month and I've also seen people saying they've got the VIP Collection for £107.50? How do I even get this offer/discount?0 -

Ring up and cancel your contract thats the only way you'll get a good deal they will get back to you.
Do they still ring you when you're in your cancellation period. When I rang to cancel over a year ago I got a call and they offered me a good deal which I took up. My contract is now up for renewal. Do they still ring? Has anyone been rang by them recently once you have advised you wanted to cancel?0 -

Just paid £120 upfront for line rental for year and now my monthly bill is £20
