Hi, I posted this in the main Sky/TalkTalk/VM thread but got no response, so I'm trying here instead :)

My 12 month contract with VM comes to an end this week (I've been with them for about five years in total now). Currently I'm paying this per month:

    PHONE: £14.99 rental + £8 XL anytime landline calls + £2.25 caller display = £25.24
    TV: £8 M+ package + £5 TiVo fee = £13
    BROADBAND: £18 for 60Mb

    TOTAL: £56.24

This is exactly the same price as I get when I go for a new package on VM's website (once their initial 6 month special offer comes to an end). Any ideas what haggling might get me on that?

rhys you have saved me a long post. I have pretty much an identical package (but just L phone and no caller ID) but pay £53.34 pm.

Let me know how you get on with haggling as I need to get this sorted too.
  • Hi all,

bit of a newbie to this thread so I'm after some advice.

I currently pay £45.75 for basic TV, Sky Sports and ESPN.
I have been with Virgin 2 years this August.

I don't watch any other TV apart from Sport.

I am also currently paying £21 a month for Broadband from TalkTalk. i do not use the landline.

    What should I do?
Phone Virgin and ask what they could do price wise if they thrown in Broadband to my package?
Threaten to leave in May once the footy season is over? And actually do it once it is if Virgin can't better my current deal.

£66.75 a month, £801 annually just to watch football and surf the web is outrageous.
