I have a similar package (xl TV, free UK landline calls 24/7, 30 Meg broadband) and I'm paying £55 per month just now. I'll be calling over the next few days and aiming for same bill but with Tivo and moving my V+ box to a bedroom.
Don't think I'd get a reduction in price.
Will update once I've called.

Called today and got the same package but with Tivo box plus my current box moved to another room. 18 month contract but the new deal is £52.99 per month (+ £6 installation fee).

I'm happy with that, might be of use to others.

I just phoned them on 150, option 5 (moving) then 3 (leaving).

I spend £75-90 depending on phone usage and PPV movies.

I have

Line Rental, Talk Unlimited, Talk Mobile, Caller Display, Fully Itemised Billing
Broadband L (10Mb)
TV XL, V+

I had 3 beefs.


One
That I was being charged for the V+ even though it was supposed to be free with XL.

I have been corrected on this, it is shown on the bill but is 0-rated - more on that in a minute.

Two
That I had previously upgraded to Talk Unlimited at their suggestion, but my itemised bill (that I thought I paid for - another 0-rated billing item) showed no calls to land-lines and it didn't seem cost effective.

It turns out that I am (or rather my wife is) calling land-lines, but they do not show as they are under Talk Unlimited. I argued that I was paying for fully itemised billing (and was promptly corrected on that) and that they should show. Despite being corrected, I still argued that they should show, otherwise how am I supposed to see if I am using enough call time to justify it.

I also argued that all items on a bill should have a price, including 0-rated ones, and that it was not good enough to list bundle items and then just give a total price as it is misleading.

She agreed with that, and whilst she could not change that, she did know of a way to get Talk Unlimited calls to show on the billing, but would need to talk to someone to find out where it was hidden. She will call back tomorrow.

Three
That I was being offered a doubling of my broadband speed from 10Mb to 20Mb, but the minimum they were offering was 30Mb.

This is apparently due to the 30Mb needing new equipment, which I could have if I paid the courier fee of £29.95!

Anyway, after 40 minutes and discussing several options, and finding out I had a loyalty discount, I had increased my services, got an extra box (keeping my V+ box but moving it to another room), lost the courier fee for the S-Hub and dropped the TiVo installation fee from £49.95 to £15.00 and should be saving between £10-25 a month. :T

Well just been on the phone to cancel again,I was on xl tv xl phone no 0870 0845 or mobiles, and 60mb bb.Gone up to £57 a month iv'e been offered xxl phone that includes 0845 0870 150 minutes to mobiles and inernational numbers.
30mb bb M tv pay line rental upfront and that works out at £15-1p a month £25 if you add the £120 upfront.Sounds good to me what do you think.

Thought I'd post what I get. I actually left VM but within 14 days they rang me and offered me a deal I took. I was paying £100 a month for the full Monty. I now pay £45 for the same but with only free channels on my second box (v+) instead of full - we never use it.

Thats a cracking deal.. Im still in contract but going to ring and offer to pay up to canc and move to sky as they offering crap deals. I had a decent deal but got rid of landline as both mine and missus mobiles r on unlimited tariffs.. When we did this our bill went up 15 quid a mth.. Bizarre!!

Looking @ AngelsMadv deal I would query the fact that the credits are listed as one-off credits and may not be applied every month. Please let us know what happens next month

CS offered my current package at £37.74 to increase by £11 when discount ends.
I said it was still too much and would consider options elsewhere. As I was considering leaving she asked if I would like to speak to retentions, not the name she used but I can't remember the term.

Retentions quoted another price I refused and without any prompting she offered 'a new package for customers thinking of leaving as they wished to keep the custom.'

The package has been mentioned here before.
It is called 'Market Triple.'

Just rang and took there offer they made last week.30mb bb xxl phone unlimited calls with free 0870 0845 numbers 150 minutes to other mobiles or other countrys.M tv free 500mb tivo box free fitting etc.paid £120 upfront for landline that leaves £15-01p a month.
Fitting Tivo thursday.
I always record the conversation on my phone.

as others have indicated, they are one off credits. Given the cost of Sky Sports and HD are about £4 less than your total bill I suspect you're in for some bill shock next month.
