That's a good offer if it really is for the M+ tv package and not their minimum offering of M instead.
(M tv is essentially same as the basic Freeview channels)
They currently have a promotion on anyway where M tv customers are temporarily upgraded to M+ until April.0 -
A little bit of advice from you Virgin media savvy people. I called to discuss my deal today. This is what they come up with. Is it any good or should I try to get more
M Telco (unlimited UK landline calls at the weekend,
XL TV (195 channels w/ on demand and catchup) + TiVo
L30 BBI (30MB fibre broadband)

all for £50.99 per month with no price change in 2013.
They will charge 49.95 for Installation but apparently there is £50 credit on my account for services. I also asked about adding Sky sports and they said they have a Sky Sports half price offer on for 3 months: so £12.87 instead of £25.75 per month.
Any thoughts gratefully received

We got the details yesterday and it looks like it is just the M TV package. So in our case they have given us the Classic Collection, upgraded the phone to talk unlimited, then applied a loyalty discount on the phone to bring it back down to £30/month.
The phone and BB service in the Classic collection are fine but just to upgrade the TV to M+ will increase the yearly cost by approx. £90 pa.0 -

The BB and phone are at the very minimum offering so the TV is costing you about £25 per month extra compared to the Classic collection mentioned in the previous post. That's before any Sky add-ons. If you don't really want all the channels in the XL package you could save about £15 pm and then add on the Sky extras.0 -
Weve also been with them for yrs, back to diamond cable days.. Formthe last yr we have had 3 boxes, phone, broadband 30meg for 97 quid inc sports, hd and xl tv... Ive cancelled fone as we dont use it and its now gone up lol.

I'm ringing to cancel this week and get it back under £50.With a tivo box.0 -
Not good enough for £52 i'm getting
xl tv
60mb bb
phone free calls 24/7.
I'm ringing to cancel this week and get it back under £50.With a tivo box.
Hi, any luck yet on this one?
I have a similar package (xl TV, free UK landline calls 24/7, 20 or 30 Meg broadband) and I'm paying £55 per month just now. I'll be calling over the next few days and aiming for same bill but with Tivo and moving my V+ box to a bedroom.
Don't think I'd get a reduction in price.
Will update once I've called.0 -

They offered me the same as i'm on for £49 a month but with a tivo box and put my existing box in another room,That was a few months back i did post about it on here,I refused because they wanted to charge £50 fitting they can sod off for that.0 -
i've been with virgin media now for around 10 years when they were telewest.
happy enough but we would love to get Tivo.
we currently pay around £88 a month give or take a few pence and for that have lowest broadband,24/7 phone,xl tv,sports and movies.
we so say have a loyalty discount on that package so bill says of around £22(this would have been from around 4 years ago when i rang up and negotiated package to around 65 but has gradually crept up due to price increases and im not sure im actually getting any discount as such now)
that price do you think i should be looking for for a new deal if i ring them for Tivo, old box going upstairs and retaining xl tv,sports,movies,24/7 phone and whatever the broadband is??
really have no idea any more and getting confused shopping around due to half price new offers etc blah, blah, lol!!! so thought i would ask you fab people for your advice.0 -
Rang to cancel today,The thinking of leaving is not there now but pressing 5 the moving house got it up.But when i got through the agent said it was retentions offered me a few quid off but not enough he also told me anyone saying they get M-phone and 30mb bb for under £30 is lying,Now i think he was lying i don't think they would go straight through to retentions what do you guys think.0
