    Does that include line rental?

    Yes line rental included.

The main tactic seems to be to slate sky, they told me to look at samknows to compare bb, samknows says sky is almost the same if not better than what I currently have with virgin, they then told me to look at the BT website instead.

FTTC broadband is being brought to my area by BT on 1.12.11 according to samknows, the virgin guy said BT aren't doing it basically calling me a liar.

All part of their silly game. If I don't get offered a good deal I will cancel with them and go elsewhere.

I await a full and detailled breakdown of proven discounts...yooohooo anyone home? Need to see these discounts explained...

And you are who please? I wasn't aware people had to provide proof (not HDUK rules here :) ). I have been looking at this thread long enough to know that every so often deals come along that no one else can get, but it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Recent experience of people getting Tivo installed free (when others told it wasn't possible), free multi room (not possible for some), significant reductions (online published tariff only available when I phoned), the list goes on.

With the current new approach to billing it is difficult to see how the figures are arrived at - and I know when I changed my package just after the bill came I was not able to access the information for a month.

I am entitled to ask for proof on complete rubbish if I so wish. If the person doesnt provide it (which they haven't, no surprise) then the information should rightly be discredited.

The problem with this thread is its full of people making outlandish claims about the amounts they can get off without any proof, so the less informed come here and think 'im being ripped off' and call up, ending up with nothing even close to the claims elsewhere.

There are possible discounts, which you would just ignore and let the post go (the new VM systems are actually very restrictive on discounts, much more so than before which is why discounts now are no where near as good as they were three + years ago on VM, but to have someone say if you'd held out you would have got it for £48.12 is just plain garbage.

Lets break it down shall we...ffb4 expects to get the following for £48.12:

So i've got Tivo 500gb with free installation and activation
    My V+HD upstairs
    XL TV
    the same L broadband
a phone line (was just weekend calls for some reason but i added evenings too for an extra £4)
    call barring
    sky sports

    Line Rental - £13.90
    Sky Sports - £22.50
    TV XL/BB L/TiVO/Phone Bundle - £41
    Phone Add On - £4
    Call Barring - £2.05

    Total Cost - £ 83.45

...I don't think it could be more obvious that such discounts are not viable - SS cannot be discounted, Line rental even at half would still leave around £13 in the budget for XL TV, BB L, TiVO, Phone, Phone add On and Call Barring...

Riiiiiight - people should justify such rubbish posts - there is simply no way it would happen and makes people think they are getting ripped off.

If I came on here and said I get my VIP pack for £12.50 a month it would be questioned, and rightly so (I don't btw).

I am not interested in what you get - I am interested in how you can guarantee a £48.12 price to a poster for a contract including Sky Sports.

Please can you provide a step by step break down of the discounts etc for the bundle the poster wanted - your's is not a comparison and neither is your contract - you do not have Sky Sports.

Please don't quote when you reply as you keep typing messages in quotes and it makes it impossible to actually understand the detail of what it is you are saying.

I want - in fact no I NEED proof to be able to call them up and obtain it for myself as you are so confident at the number I can work on that based on the discounts you claim are available NOW, calling TODAY.

    Thank you

What have you got such a bee in your bonnet about?

They have told you the deal they have got, I don't see what your problem is?

Ah keyboard warrior gotta love it. DO you feel better now? Why should we be nice to new people when new people post such things?

I merely asked you to itemise it, like I said above, because I would like the same. This thread is about people looking for information about reducing thier bills, and information which allows it to be possible.

I would certainly like to reduce my costs, as do others here.

Your lack of ability to itemise the price which you quotes further sheds doubt on your guaranteed claim on a price.

I simply want to know the details, like others have asked of other posters here of what discounts I can quote to retentions to get the deal you're adament I can get (note, I am not talking about your deal that you have, I am talking about the prices you are guaranteeing others).

Ironically you've quoted my post because you think I would regret posting it, I don't and I do beleive my questions were very fair - all I am asking for is, according to you simple information.

All I want are a list of charges and a list of discounts which can get me a TiVO, V+ box, XL TV pack and Sky Sports for £48.12 - thats all, I dont need a contract, I just need a list of services, list of costs and list of discounts to make it viable.

I'm glad you gave me the oppotrunity to quote your insults - I hope it made you feel better - btw, none of your accusations of me and my circumstances are factually correct, much like your previous posts.
