Just rang retentions and agreed the following after they had spoke to their manager:

Same as above but with a new Tivo box, the V+ box moved upstairs - no installation fee and no additional monthly charge........

I might do that then, not really bothered to be honest whether my Tivo is installed before or after Xmas. Not too sure what i'm going to say though, If I say i've been having a think and it's a little too expensive surely they'll say stay on the package i'm on currently? It's not really going to work if i say it's too expensive, i'd like to disconnect....

    Any ideas lol?

Yes! slow broadband in evenings they servers are usually well hammered then.

On demands slow and always faulty ( online light flashes) and signal break up these are all common faults on virgin cable network.;)

    Failed recording etc.

Last of all mention the price but dont say its too expensive as they will just suggested lower package. but they will probebly give u lower price for exsisting package if first of all just tell them the faults for the reason then when they give you price say well how much could you do and list all products you want for? then say thats too expensive can i proceed with disconnection

when disconnection survey team ring do same as above they say well if u reconsider ring us up then will pass to retentions who will just ring up and give u lowest price possible and usually a £30 bill credit as guesture

Just keep this in back of your mind they want your business and u can cancel the disconnection without any penalty up until day before disconnection date so nothing to loose

    I currently pay:

    £20 for TV(m+) & BB (L)
    £5 for V+
    £13.90 phone line (m)

    total £38.90

I've only been a customer for 12 months (I signed up via Quidco for £160 cashback).

We are happy with our package but I want a discount!!!

I wouldn't mind having a V+ box in our second reception room but don't want to pay for it.

I also have 2 mobile phones with them, both on discounted rates as we are long standing loyal customers (their words not mine).

What can I expect to be offered if I ring up to cancel?

    Thanks.
