Called 150 again yesturday and said that I don't wish to disconnect my Virgin services as I stopped getting calls from Retentions. When would it be possible again to give my disconnection notice, so that I do start to get calls from Retentions again?

Now? No limit - In the past I extended my cancellation by another month but that didn't result in any call backs, therefore next time I would cancel the cancellation and call back later that day/the next to put my notice in again.

Dial 150 from your phone and select the leaving Virgin option. Put in your cancellation notice and wait for phonecall from retentions. No other way to contact them.
  • Hi guys

How much do standard V Boxes cost per month for new customers?

Reason is, I got my new contract through the door with 2 V+ HD Boxes, but I'm pretty sure they have kept the standard V Boxes on the bill rather than substituting them for the V+ HD Boxes. Therefore, I think this new contract is saying 2 V+ HD boxes AND 2 standard V Boxes.

    appreciate help

You need to grow a small percentage of a brain to realise you are on the wrong forum and being V+HD thick. I think the clue is in the title of the forum - the word r e t e n t i o ns. NOT r e t ar ds!

    Rather rude and uncalled for.
Come on pal - sort your V - micro brain out. What the hell does anything you have posted have to do with retentions of any sort?

Perhaps the clue is in "new contract" - probably organised by retentions.

Look on the virgin website - it may help you out. Your post basically says that you are paying for 4 virgin boxes. You need to grow a small percentage of a brain to realise you are on the wrong forum and being V+HD thick. I think the clue is in the title of the forum - the word r e t e n t i o ns. NOT r e t ar ds!

    You're a floof.

My new contract was from retentions.

Back to school for you, 'pal' :rotfl:

Been with Virgin since the Blueyonder days. My virgin services are Talk UL, M TV, XL BB, including international and mobiles. Including line rental and paper bill charge costs £43.03. Averages around £50 most months. Looked into switching to Sky as they offered 20MB Unlimited BB and Talk Anytime for £16.25 first month and then £26.25. I'm happy with freeview and plus I can access Ondemand services through my computer which I can hook into my TV.

I called 150 and selected cancel services. They asked why and I told them it was the price and Sky offered what we needed. After he expressed his concern saying that he thinks Sky would be much slower his first offer was to reduced my contract to £34 a month with L BB 10MB and XL Phone, with international and mobile taken off as I do not need them anymore. His 2nd offer was 10MB L BB and Talk UL with no tv £24, weird as I do not get charged for being on M and it is just freeview.

I went on to say as much as he says my services may be impacted I would still like to give Sky a go and see for myself. So he went on to type up my cancellation. At this point I thought there was going to be no final offer but he came back and asked me what I wanted. So I said Sky offered 20mb BB UL for £12.50 so if tey could match that along with a good monthly price then I would consider staying

His final offer was for the next month my bill would be £20 for what I currently have minus talk international and mobile. After that he said if I liked to stay then my contract would be £31.04 on what I assume an 18month contract. So I accepted I'd stay with them another month at £20 and then call if I'd be staying with them at £31.04. He made a note on the system so when I do call I can just say that offer.

I know personally Virgin are crap at offering anything as I have tried previously but I feel the above seems to be good personally, it also means I won't have to deal with the hassle of changing everything over. But I will see. Thanks to everyone for your information on here.
