Thats all I can suggest. Im not aware of any direct dial numbers into UK call centers. I think where your call is routed depends on what you want to do.0 -
with this hassle i may as well stay with sky

I assume you are not yet a customer of Virgin?
The deals on here are retentions deals not new customer deals.
Try using Quidco or Topcashback and see if there are cashback offers that will reduce the price.
I am a customer with them, got my broadband and phone line with them which ends in feb.dazzaofdagenham wrote: »who then on hearing that you wish to purchase additional products put you through to sales and that means going back overseas

No idea why they'd do that, I've gone straight through to cancellations each time I've called about jiggling my account round and never been transferred elsewhere. Always offered me deals there and then. This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -

Does anyone have a email or phone number for complaints where i can actuallt talk to someone in the UK ?

I was told that the only way to file a complaint is to enter it via the virgin website or in writing by post. I did it online and recieved a call back within a day or two from someone in Complaints and caller was definitely from UK although that doesn't guarantee that everyone will get the same.0 -

I would like to upgrade my M broadband + M phone ,as the bill frequently tops £60, and add the XL TV. Ideally I would like the triple XL bundle plus Sky sports and V+HD at a competitive price.
I'll try a few of the tips from this thread, give VM a ring and let you guys know how I get on.
Great forum by the way!
Gave VM a call today and cancelled with my 30 days notice. Fingers crossed now eh?! I'll let you know what offer I can haggle out of them.0 -
Going to call retentions tomorrow!
I have
XL TV
M BB
Talk unltd
V+ HD box (though TV only 32", so HD no advantage whatever)
and am paying around £58 per month. Recently made redundant so need to watch costs, and Sky and BT work out to about £36 - £40 per month. Also, the box (maybe 3 years old?) is causing digital breakup on recordings.
So, I will put in my 30 days notice, and hopefully get a call back. Looking for £35 per month, happy to tie in 12/18 months, and a new box.O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us.

Useful board. Was wondering what steps I would have to take to get a better all round package for less money - if anyone could help I would be really grateful.
My situation, live in a flat and have had Virgin services for about 7 years. Was on their 4 for £40 - an old offer I know. But got line rental, TV L and Broadband + a Virgin mobile with 300 minutes a month.
At the time it was a good deal but reading what people are getting now and what i am paying isn't great.
The mobile is now on a separate contract with V mobile for £10 a month and I am paying over £40 for TV - L, line rental and my broadband speed is 9mbps so I am guessing that is L too. I get no free landline calls but only use it for 0845 numbers anyway.
I now have an HD TV but cannot receive any HD channels because I only have an old Samsung box that loads up to NTL!!
What I would like is a V+ box, faster Internet and also calls to 0845 numbers included but don't need others really. Am not that bothered about the XL TV but would be nice.
I threatened to leave them when they took away what, is now TV choice OD, threatened to cancel and the guy just said OK then - will set that up now and you will be disconnected within 30 days!!
I panicked and phoned them back a couple of days later backing down.
I can get the package I want TV XL, BB XL, V+ box, Home hub and phone M for £33.74 for 6 months then up to £55.74.
But I think that seeing that I have been a loyal customer for a long time that isn't good enough. I would want all that for 12 months and don't want to pay more than that in the future. I would also want 0845 numbers included, but couldn't see that on the phone extras.
I haven't looked into Sky packages because I don't really want the hassle of leaving although they keep sending me letters saying that they install in flats now.
Could anyone let me know the best was to get my package upgraded and price down? Is it just a case of phoning up and telling them I want to leave because Sky are offering a better package?
Also I am not worried about getting installation - can do that myself.
Sorry if its a bit long, any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks0 -
I need help. Well my 12 month contract with VM is comming to an end. I have phoned them up to tell them I am leaving and to put my cancellation through. The CS did try to pursuade me that VM are the cheapest in my area and althoiugh other companies offering less price they are giving less mb broadband.
Right now I am paying about £24.99 per month
Telephone Line Rental £12.24
Broadband Size: L (10mb unlimted usage) £12.75
(phone which includes free weekend calls only)
I was also given a wired wireless n router at that time too.
I am confused if i am getting an average priced deal. My brother pays BT this amount and also has free callls inc 0845 numbers in his package.
I have had no phone call back from VM retentions and it has been over a week. Should I phone them.
P.s the best the CS said was deducting £2 off .......(which I know VM will increase their prices in April again)0 -
Hey guys, I got a call from the cancellation team today and they gave me a deal and I was unsure so they said they'd ring back on Monday. I asked them to send the deal in email but apparently they are not allowed to that that from the new year :S
Here's what they offered me:
XL TV + Asian bundle (£10) + 2x V+HD boxes
XL landline with free 0845 and 0870 calls
XL Broadband with free "super hub"
All for £60 a month for 12 months.
First of all, is this a good deal and secondly do you think I'd be able to get any "extra's" thrown in for the same price?
I don't know what happened to the 18 month contracts though, she only offered me a 12 month contract!
Thanks for the help in advance!
