Go down the CEO office if you are getting your bills mixed up or feel you are being lied to.They may offer you some compensation for your troubles that could put a smile on your face.
Remember SKY have been doing the £5 unlimited UK calls to 01,02,03 (up to one hour calls)
and this also includes international calls and 0870 numbers.
Mention this when you phone and keep haggling.
My posts will tell you exactly what I received (and wanted)
I will again say that unless you cancel you will not get that phone call and make sure it's retentions in Birmingham otherwise I fear you will be wasting your time.150 route will not give you a cracking deal.
My deal was in November so things could well of changed now.
Lastly if you go for the V+ box do not accept installation as you will be charged for this.Get it to arrive by courier(they pay) and arrange with them afterwards to have the other box collected by their engineers.Unless of course you want to be hit with a £40 charge. It's easy to put in just remember to change it to all the new leads and make an activation phone call.CHECK YOUR NEW BILL/CONTRACT WHEN IT ARRIVES.
hi there your contact is now management and passed on my query0 -
Just had my call from retentions offering the following:
M Phone (no installation charge)
XL TV
L BB (with free homehub)
for £31.24 per month
or with XL BB for £34.24 per month.
If I want an extra V+ box for free and installed it will be £36.84 per month (if have L BB) or £41.09 per month (if have XL BB).
What do folk think?0 -
Hi folks;
I've been reading through this thread trying to get my head around it but I think I still can't figure it out quite right - I'd appreciate anyone offering me advice.
Currently I have
M Phone
L TV
L Broadband
for £24 a month plus £12.24 phone line.
I called today to see what CS could offer me and the best she could come up with was
£61.49 (including phone line)
XXL B
XL P
L TV
+£20 one off charge
or
£56.49
XL B
XL P
L TV
which seems v. useless deal to me.
Looknig on Sky I can't really see anything cheaper but reading folks here , there are better deals out there.
Would anyone like to advise me on what steps to take? Or guide me if they are truly too kind?
Many thanks0 -

If you only spoke to CS then you have to give your notice to cancel and say you are unhappy with costs (even those that you have been offered by CS). You will then get a call back from retentions within a week or so....0 -
Hi, First post here but I've been reading through these forums for a long time!
I've just put in my cancellation call (30 day notice) and they told me that they would send me a cancellation notice in writing and that they would be coming to pick the set top box, etc on the same day.
Is this the standard thing?
Thanks

yes that's standard, you should get a call within few days.0 -
I think I've got mine sorted, I didn't get the email that I requested yesterday but I called CS today and they confirmed what the deal was without me mentioning anything as it was in the notes, my letter of the new contract was sent out in the post today and my v+ hd box and superhub is in the post for Thursday for self install.
Deal was
XL Phone, Line Rental, Talk International, Talk Mobile, 250 Mins for 0845/0870
M TV with Asian Bundle on V+HD
XL Broadband (20MB) with Superhub.
£41 a month.
Didn't have to pay anything for the equipment.
Contract is 18 months for the phone and 12 months for tv and broadband.0 -
Thank you DaMaster
I'm looking for a similar deal to you except I want to be getting XL TV with asian bundle as well but no talk international or talk mobile.
Hopefully I can get it for under £50 seeing as you got yours for £41 a month!0 -
Contract is 18 months for the phone and 12 months for tv and broadband.
I suggest you check that the price is the same for the whole 18 months. My deal was to go up after 12 months but they forgot to mention that whilst speaking and also in the email that they sent me!
They only mentioned it when I specifically asked which I thought was sneaky.0 -
I've asked about that, and its full 18 months.0
