a little bit of inside gossip for virgin media customers
i work for the company and they have recently announced that they will be bringing out a virgin home hub to coinside with the bt home hub
it is basically a router and modem in one(looks pretty cool i must admit) if you are a anew customer you will get it free as a part of the contact and if you are an existing customer looking to stay on the sae speed broadband it will cost you £60.00 and if you are upgrading it will be aroung £40.00:money:0 -
Just thought id mention the retention deal I secured a few days ago:
XL TV
XL Broadband (20mb)
XL Phone (free evening and weekend calls)
Sky Sports pack
Sky Movies pack
V+HD box
Addition V box
£56pm
I was previously paying £68 for all that only without the Sports and Movies.
Hi - can you provide more details on this deal please - prices for each service and discounts applied.
I have tried several times - I have the same as above, bot only 10mb BB and no additional box, and I cannot get below £72.
Thanks for your help.0 -
I typed wireless router into Amazon and the first one which came up was £32.49.it is basically a router and modem in one(looks pretty cool i must admit) ... if you are an existing customer looking to stay on the sae speed broadband it will cost you £60.00
Granted, the new gadget will consolodate 2 boxes into one, but £60 looks a bit steep for existing customers (I imagine most people wont want to upgrade their speed just to get £20 off the box).
Off course, a nice little enticement for new customers.0 -
I gave disconnection notice and the !!!!!!s never called me! I am paying £15/month for 2 meg Small service and when I called up to cancel my cancellation and to ask if there were any deals available, I got told that £15 is the lowest available :-/ yeah right! I am now going to get a BT line and got to O2, will cost me £15 for both phone line and broadband.0

We moved from Virgin to Sky recently, but thinking of going back. We had the following with Virgin:
TV Size: M
Broadband Size: L
Phone: XL
Asian TV Package
Inc Callwait, Line Rental and Paper Bill Charge, we were paying £47.19 in total. Seems very excessive considering some of the deals I am reading on here. For a returning customer, what number would people advise to call to get the best deal?0 -
Success, got 10MB L broadband for £10 a month. Got get them guys. Also offered my a phone line for £2.50 more.0

Hi
I'm on TV XL pack on its own (£23) but £5 off runs out this month. I spoke to Customer Service and was told I would not be able to continue the discount.but I could leave with 30 days noitice!
I am not keen to go to Sky as they insist on ptting a new cable inside the house which would cause a lot of hassle. They would charge £23(Variety pack + 4)
What chance do I stand of getting a reduction with Virgin?
thanks
