Wow that seems high! I have the same package as you apart from no tv , and all I pay is £19.40, and according to some of the deals on here even that can be bettered!
I suggest you get some figures together and start negotiations!
  • Hi,

I have been with VM for a few years now, and my bills are creeping up and up. A couple of years ago I managed to negotiate a reasonable deal with them (the alternative was moving to SKY) but I fear that the deal isn't as great a couple of years on.

Here are my main services from the bill - please let me know if you have similar packages and whether it is worth me negotiating a better deal or not...

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Telephone Line Rental £11.99
    Talk Evening And Weekends £3.45
    Loyalty Bb/Phone/TV Discount £-22.70
    Additional Loyalty Discount £-1.75
    Free Voicemail £0.00
    TV Size: XL £24.50
    1 Additional V Box £5.50
    V+ HD Box £0.00
    Broadband Size: L £25.00
    Movies4,Movies5 £19.50
    Ebill discount £-1.00
    Total £64.49

    Hi,

How much should I be paying for the following:

    XL Phone
    M TV
    M Broadband.

I've been with virgin for a while now, don't really care for the M TV as I already have freeview.

    Thanks

Hi there - first post so be gentle!

We're in the first 28 days ever with Virgin Media, and I phoned them to cancel as I was missing Sky+ and the volume of channels we had.

Was paying £29.99 to Virgin for Broadband L (10meg, free wireless router), TV M+ and Phone M.

The lady instantly offered us a free V+ box and free installation and the same package as above but with TV XL for £40.24 a month. We would have lost our remaining £18 credit (the second of initial 2 months free offer), but she added that onto our bill too!

If it helps anyone, the breakdown of costs is:

£0 Free V+ and free installation
    £36.49 M phone + XL TV
£25 L Broadband (10 Meg) with free wireless router
    -£18.25 discount
    -£3 discount

£40.24 Total inc VAT and phone line

Seemed a good deal to me, what do you all think?

    Cheers for now,

    Trev.

I pay £19.50/month for exactly that.

Has a permanent discount of £19.45 on my listed price of £38.95 (XL phone+Line £18.95, M Broadband £20, M Tv free).

    Hi

I'd also like some advice on what I 'should' be paying.

I've been with VM for years (since it was ntl). I'm not bothered about the TV as my daughter has just given me her freeview box and I hardly ever use the phone, except to phone my friend in Australia. I don't have a BT line. I was wondering about getting an internet dongle but worried about the usage limits as I'm on the internet a lot (download a lot of pdf files but not much in the way of music/films)
    At the moment I have:

    telephone line rental £11.99
    TW 1M saving -£2.00
    Talk Weekends £0.00
    M+ (Starter) TV £5.50
    Broadband £20.50

which comes to £35.99 per month (ebill) - too much!!
I've been guilty of apathy and just sticking with VM. Have had higher TV packages in the past but downgraded because I wasn't watching them.
    Thanks
