Success for me today too :j
I've been with them a year now and rang to "cancel" to see what they'd offer.
Very charming lady gave me 2mb Broadband, all TV channels including all sky sports (no movies), line rental and free weekends/evening calls! Total £39 per month "for life" she said! Well happy with that. RESULT!!!
Good luck to everyone else, don't settle for less!!0 -
Dont you mean 10mb? Because if you do mean 2mb most people are paying £9.99 a month for that... Maybe it was a mistype?Thanx

Just phoned up virgin media. We were with ntl. We have 4mb ntl broadband and phone with ntl (as was). Was paying £25 for broadband and £11 for phone line = £36 total + call charges = usually around £47 a month.
They said they have new "virgin media" deals for life - i.e. do not have to renew in 3 or 6 months for 2mb (size M) broadband and talk unltd phone (which includes all daytime, evening and weekend UK landline call charges, international calls discount and mobiles calls discount) for £19.99.
BUT....... if i wanted broadband size L still (4mb) they could do this if I pay the normal difference in price between 2mb and 4mb broadband (i.e. £7 extra).
So cost £26.99 for talk unltd and 4mb broadband now. And do not have to keep remembering to renew any deals.
So saving nearly £20 a month now!0 -
Just got the same deal as saver123 above - 4mb (size L) broadband and Talk Unlimited for just under £27 a month. Was previously paying around £35-£40 a month dependent on calls made.
Very pleased I found this thread!0 -

Very pleased I found this thread!
excellent news..... just a pity that virgin media don't just put us on the best tariff automatically, instead of having to phone and haggle!0 -
I am currently on:
Telewest Broadband Elite (10mb) - £35
Starter TV package - £5.50
Phone Rental - £11
Every month call charges are around £8
Total £60 a month!
After reading this thread, I intend to ring them in the next few days to see what they offer me, as the Sky equivalent plus BT rental would cost me around half of what I am paying.
Wish me luck!0 -
I was with Telewest and had a £3 reduction on my internet which had disappeared off my bill so phoned them up and have just negotiated
4mg broadband ( larger than before)
XL tv package ( only on large before)
evening and weekend free calls( just on basic before)
SKY sports 1 and 2
for £59 a month ( £5 less than I was paying before!)
I'm very happy as the kids were pestering for Disney channel and it was going to cost me £11 more.
It's a ' for life' deal too so I don't have to phone back and haggle again.0 -
After several people told me I could change my existing deal with Virgin.
from £56.50 to £46 by getting the 3 for £30 phone/net/tv and paying the price difference on tv and broadband.
Was told since I already HAVE the basic phone/4mb broadband/xl tv and I'm not upgrading anything, as an existing customer I cannot have the 3 for £30 deal and pay the difference.
the only think I could do is upgrade my phone to talk unlimited making my bill £60, and keeping my existing services.
anyone gimme any help?:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0
