in february is when ntl and telewest merge with virgin mobile i thinkNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
Just had my BB offer extended, but I did get a surprise.
I was on £9.99 on 4 MB for 6 months, or so I thought. All this time I was actually on 2 MB
When I phone up to extend my offer I was told £9.99 on 2 MB for 12 months. I was happy with the 12 months, but the speed was a joke. The person on the phone (a nice lady), offer me £12.50 for 4 MB for 12 months. I said I was never informed of my reduced speed (as I was always on the £25 speeds or assumed I was), so I was then offered £9.99 on 4 MB for 12 months which I accepted.
I forgot to ask about the wireless router deal (if it was still going). I know it would put you back on a 12 month contract, but I think the 12 month offer extention would cancel it out.0 -

I was told that there would be better deals when this merge happens. How ever all I get so far is information on price increases?
Anyone else know what deals might heading our way.....

can anyone tell me what the wireless routrer offer was, I am thinking of getting broadband from NTL and if there a free wireless roiter on offer than I would like to negotiate that as part of my BB deal.

I posted this in the wrong bit before - apologies.
I desperately need to make some savings so I need some practical advice.
I am with NTL.
Unlimited 2MB broadband - £17.99
Family Pack - £19.50
Sports 1-3 & Prem Plus £17.50
Line Rental - £11.99
Now, we do not want to get rid of any of these packages but I am sure I am being ripped off. Any advice? What's the best thing to say to NTL to get them to give me a better deal.

Phone ntl on their retentions number: 0800 0529403 and select option 3(?) to cancel.
When you get through tell them you're after the best deal you can get at the moment from them and mention their 2 for £20 offer.
I currently have :
unlimited 2mb Broad band for 9.99 (prob £10 now)
should be £18 but get a retention offer of £8 off
Family pack tv £13.75
should be £30.50 (ie 19.50 tv and £11 line rental)
the discount i get is £11 (2 for £20 offer) and £5.75 (half price base pack)
I also have talk unlimited phone with an £8.50 discount (TW 2mb Fam tv saving??)
Hope the above info helps and gives you some stuff to quote, although to be honest i've always found them really obliging on this number"A bargain is something you can't use at a price you can't resist." Franklin Jones0 -
Thanks for that PP! Looks like I have been paying WELL over the odds. Will give it a whirl! :jA cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0
