Hi I called up Ntl (waited 40 Mins at least before they answered) I have Phone line, 1 Mb Broadband and TV with Sky Sports 1,2,3, Extra and Premplus. Told them I was going to go to Sky total cost £47 including BT line rental unless they could match offer. Result still with Ntl same package but BB will be 2Mb waiting for new modem to be installed. Total price £48 a month. Plus I don't pay for Premplus. :money:
You can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.

Its funny you should say this, I spoken with Telewest today re a different metter and the staff advised me that as from the 1st of Feb when NTL and Telewest offically merge there will be mnay offers and price cuts. So its a case of watch this space

As a Telwest customer, I received a letter just before Christmas announcing mainly a rise (small) in prices for numerous services. In the last 5 years prices have not gone done. Only my internet speed has gone up. It doesn't change anything for them and there are still making a huge amount of money :(

I do recall a letter advising price increase in the last few months, but as I said Telwest staff advised me yesterday that there would be new deals and better prices available once the two merge. I will certainly be on the phone to them just after the merge. Or another way is to keep an eye on there site. https://www.blueyonder.co.uk for announcements

  • First of all I'm new here so Hi everyone!

ok...I'm paying £17.99 a month for ntl broadband. Does anyone know which other broadband providers I could use with an ntl line (no bt line available) and would they be any cheaper? any info would be much appreciated

No you do not have to be out of contract when your asking for a better deal. Just call them on 150 free from a telewest line and ask for the customer relation deapartment.

I have been with Telwest for 4 mths in to a 12mth new contract as I moved house.

I get the follwoing after chatting with them

    10mb BB for £20.50
Evening and weekend call for £11.00
Family Tv and additional box £15.00
I also had a 3 non direct debit fees returned. This offer I am getting for 6mths at which point I will call them again. :T

I tried but no luck. I think it is because I only am getting the broadband service, they said they would have been able to me a better deal if I had the telephone service as well. No thanks, I'll try again when my contract finishes:D
  • Wireless is just down to having a wireless router, so to make telewest wireless you'll just need a wireless cable router.

    Awesome thanks

Going to give it a go

Alot of talk on a free wireless router on hot deals
