Lot of people getting results here! Keep it up! NT hell know they are in a competitive market. I wonder how long it is before they have an 'official' price drop!

Its funny you should say this, I spoken with Telewest today re a different metter and the staff advised me that as from the 1st of Feb when NTL and Telewest offically merge there will be mnay offers and price cuts. So its a case of watch this space

I have just tried to call NTL on 0800 052 9403 and chose option 3. Ans machine says It can take upto 20mins as they are very busy. 30secs later, it says "Thank you for calling NTL but we are very busy, please call later" and the hangs up!!!!!!

i have tried several times since 4pm today and no luck, anybody else have this problem?

You might well do a little better - you need to look at the alternative way of getting your service.

BT is £11 per month for phone
and Sky is £15 for two of their mix bundles - look onthe sky website to see exactly what you would get - if that would cover what you want then you should be able to negotiate down to £26.

Phone customer service (number on your bill) initially and say you want to discuss it because you have found a cheaper / bettter offer if they dont help then ask about how you go about cancelling your service - cancellations can and may very well do a great deal more for you buit they will know the detail of what is avaliable from sky and if you dont then they will assume you are not serious about leaving.

    good luck

Marcellep,i just talked to telewest and they said they don't do an 8mb bb.

Telewest also told me to look at the below link, she said that i wouldn't even get 1MB speed on a phone line connection to access bb.
    Here is the link.
    http://www.samknows.com
Click on availability checker on this site then put in your detail and click on BTadsl and it should tell u what speeds you'll get with a phone line connection to access bb.
I tried this site with cable for my area and it stated that telewest blueyonder wasn't available form but im on telewest blueyonder already,so can we trust this site?

Just wait - the waiting is the way they put people off. It is an 0800 number so you have nothing to loose.
