    Was on:

    Family Pack £30.50
    4M Broadband £24.99
    Talk Unlimited 24 £13.99
    Call Barring £ 1.75
    Total £71.73

Now on the same without Talk Unlimited (not sure about call barring) for £32.50. Basically the 3 for £30 with upgraded TV & BB for an extra £2.50.

No time limit, no new contract.

This time last year I took out a 12 month NTL broadband contract. It was a limited time offer for £9.99/month for 1mb unlimited access which was subsequent raised to 2mb unlimited for free.

Anyway the 12 month was just up and they put it up to £17.99 month.
I rang up and said I was reviewing my options since the increase and they agreed to give me it at th £9.99 on a rolling 6 month agreement, which I grabbed.

So if you are in same situation give them a moneysaving ring!

Since I took out the ntl broadband and the fact I have a mobile, I have ditched my BT landline and saved a fortune over the year.

I have cable broadband and a bargain mobile tarrif for voice communication. I don't miss the land line at all!

And I have'nt even tried skype yet! To think I wasted all that money on line rental for internet access .........I dunno!

I s'pose you had better merge this and lose it in that massive thread above, I just read,............. boy that could do with some editing out!

And push them a bit more and you can get it for £8.99.

Yes exactly the same situation, 2 Mb BB only for £8.99 continuous as mentioned in this previous post. I realise that none of us read all posts on here but that was their best offer and it states retention offer CR on the invoice.

I've had NTL for 6 months and had only £10 off the first months bill! Been paying £17.99 since. Tried my hardest to bargain but that was the best they would do. How did you guys do it?

.........are you sure you are not taking another service as well as I don't, and how long you been with them?

I think if what you are saying is true I'll give them another ring and say hang on you said £8.99 not £9.99.

Seems you took out a 12 month contract where the terms were 1 month at £10 off, and you are tied till month 12.

You cant bargain with them till your contract is up, sorry mate.

Yes you're right. There were absolutely no offers on when I signed up and I had to accept £10 off. Will definitely negotiate when my year is up!

Yes definitely no other service, BB only, customer for 12 months. Obviously just like bartering with any other ISP, like AOL deal for £9.99 including the wireless router that many forum users have been getting, even though officially it costs £14.99. It depends who you speak to and if they actually believe that you would take your custom elsewhere due to the current pricing competition.
