This is what happened to me recently. My bill went up because an old discounted deal finished. I was paying £59 for:

    XL TV
    L (4MB) BB
    Normal Phone
    V+
    Extra normal box

The new price went up to £71. I called up and said wasn't happy about that. They offered it for £61 (basically the 3 for £30 plus the extras). I wasn't happy as it was more than I was paying so I went off, investigated Sky and BT etc, decided it wasn't worth the money I'd have to lay out, and then called them back and said I'd take the £61 deal, but that I wanted to add Talk Evening & Weekends.

He went away to play with his computer and came back and said because I was taking an extra service he could give me the whole lot for £48!!!

    Result!

i haven't signed anything, or said yes to a new 12 month contract!! i believe it's a discount for only 6 months.
Still waiting for a call back.
  • Can you tell me what number u called?
I need to sort this out in coming couple of weeks.
thing is that I am paying
    2 mb bb + tv L = £9.99
I want to keep this dont mind tvM and BBL :)
but I dont think I will ever get this again

Hi mate what u need to do is from your virgin phone dial 150 then option 4 speak to the disconnection's or as there know the retentions team department . they will have abit of a long wait when u get through say u are not happy with the service and u feel u are paying to much and u can get a much cheaper service else where . and the rep will access your account and I guarantee he will make it cheaper
if u have any problmes let me know

ring 150 from your landline like ray said above option 4 then 2 i think, or ask for retentions.
    good luck. :p

    Ta,
    I might do that
Though I havent opted for virgin phone they are too costly above all if I ask them to install phone line now I will be entering a new 12 month contract for phone

He said the discount applied for 12 months. The word "contract" was never mentioned by him or me and I've not signed anything. So as far as I'm concerned, no new contract.

Even if it was, I'd have taken it.
