I guess BT has changed there minimum contract from 3 months to 12 month.
Though one of my frnd got installed and he havent told any such thing but I remembered read somewhere on BT it is 12 month or X amount whatever is less0 -
Following my phone call to NTL yesterday, I thought I ought to make people aware. Seeing some other postings, I decided to try and get a better deal for my broadband. I'm on 2MB @ 24.99 a month and have been a customer for 2 years. I phoned, mentioned Tiscali equivalent is £17.99 and got 3MB @ £17.50 for 3 months. I explained that in 3 months I'll be in the same situation, so why should I stay? The lady explained that this is the best offer she can do at the moment - the offers change and to ring back in 3 months. So basically, if you ring every 3 months you can get the better deal all the time - the lady confirmed this with me. £17.50 for 3 MB of broadband is very good. I think it's £37 a month normally. I don't mind ringing every 3 months if I can get this sort of deal. Thought this might be useful for others.
If you are already an ex Blueyonder package (now Virgin media) user, you should be getting a great deal which is £20 a month for TV (basic channels), 1mb broadband and phone line including free landline calls, everyday all day.
Also i have just signed up a friend and got them this deal for the same price with £20 credited to their account so month one completely free and you get £50 for the referal.0 -
Nope
You should be able to downgrade your package. Although I havent cameacross with anyone who downgraded their package.
I dont remembered reading anywhere that we cannot downgrade our package.
ask them and they might offer you the continuation of 20 meg at same price0 -

I renegociated my full package TV/BB/phone. At the time I was on 3 for £40 (with BB 4Mb at around £18 in my package). Now it is still written £18 for 2Mb bb on my statement but I get a £34.50 discount (£24.50 fo rloyalty on BB/Tv/phone and £10 for extra box) on my whole package, so it won't help you much.0 -
