I rang up the other day and was point blank refused a better deal. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told he was the most senior person and there wasnt anyone higher than him! Yea right.

Despite me not getting a promised phone call back from said pl*nker, I rang again and got offered:

    4meg BB

phone rental and talk unlimited (all day/ nite free phone calls up to 59 mins and then ring back again)

    Large TV package

    For £25 :)

    Does that sound reasonable?
We're on the same, except we have XL TV and pay £29.45

You must be on the same as me then

    xl tv

m broadband 2mb supposed to be going up to 4 soon

    phone with talk unlimited

But they told me £34.95 so I'm going to give them a call once I actually get the letter confirmning the package he did say I'd get one but I've waited quite a while for it now how long does it take to recieve that? Theres definitely differences in these offers that they are giving.

I was told they were ending the 3 and 6 months offers in favor of loyalty offers so they could not continue mine as they wouldnt go on the account even if they tried. I have also been told that they only can give one offer per customer yet only 5 days ago my oldest daughter rang and has been given free talk 24 halfprice broadband and free tv all on the same account so that shows they can still do it
    Thanx

    You probably don't get letter.
The Loyalty discount just appears on your bill.

    Sounds good to me.

.............I must have spoken to the same guy as you did when I called as I could not believe his attitude - he might just as well have said to me 'Either pay this price or go elsewhere' ............

Eek yep.. sounds the same kind of performance I got. I was foaming!

When I phoned back the 2nd guy could not have been nicer and gave me exactly what I wanted

He also gave me his email address to send in a complaint as he confirmed that the

    a) the guy I'd spoken to was a team leader and

    b) hadnt left any notes on the account (so no phone call was EVER gonna happen!) and

    c) theres no way this guy should have had that kind of attitude!!!

Phone back and see what happens hun... :) I couldnt get a better deal from any of the other companies that could match their offer, never mind beat it. :T

For £34.95 i got 2meg Broadband , medium tv , unlimited talk anytime(for first 59 mins). Would you be happy with this as i did not have unlimited before on the phone. Im looking at other posts , should i have tried to get more(is xl tv much better? )
I rung yesterday & 12 month contract. Is it too late to change it? The post above looks a brilliant offer. Do you reckon i could get it still now as i would still not be too fussed if i cancelled as my bill went up when sky disappeared!

  • My latest NTL/VM 4MB broadband deal (half price) came to an end, phoned Virgin Media to cancel saying that Tiscali charge £17.99 for 8MB broadband. They started by rubbishing the Tiscali service and saying that VM's broadband is far superior. Anyway, I was offered another 3 months.

    Advertised price: £24.99
    Now paying £12.49

Number: 0800 183 0123 and choose the cancellations option.
