    Line rental £11
Talk Unlimited (evenings and weekends) £5.50
    Family Pack £19.50
    BB (1MB)...anyone else only on 1MB!!?? £24.99:rolleyes:

    £60.99

Doesn't sound too good does it :( Think I will have to pluck up courage to make the call. Do I need to know a name of someone who will offer me a better deal? Do they ask?
See post #1236 on previous page.
Aim for £35/month, with free upgrade to 2Mb Broadband & Talk Unlimited (including days).

You need to speak to Retentions.

Phone 150, select option "You are thinking of leaving"
or 0800 052 9403 option 3 to get through to Retentions.

So, I finally managed to get through.

I'm currently on Virgin M BB package and comes to £25/month.

After speaking to the fellow on the phone, he offered me the XL broadband and phone package for £34/month.

Now, the thing is with Virgin's phone package is the cost to 0845 and 0870 numbers. In the end, I do believe I'll end up paying the same amount that I'm paying currently, which is averaging about £45/month for the phone and internet.

If someone can explain to the charges that they have faced for 0845/0870 numbers with Virgin, it would be very helpful.

To give you an idea, in the last three months, we have made about 55 mins worth of calls to 0845 numbers and 47 minutes to 0870 numbers. The total amount for this has been £4.60 with our currently supplier. I do believe that with Virgin, this will come up to about £15+.

Has anyone changed their 'loyalty' package?

I want talk unlimited removed and replaced with movies, obviously they'll be an increase in price, but has anyone done this successfully?

Thanks for that... although I did know about this site, and even if I do explain it to the family, I doubt they'll use it everytime.

There seems to be some differences on the loyalty package people are being offered. I was also told I could change it at any time but I'm not sure if I do that the price stays the same just what you have in it.

    I was given

    BB 2MB M
Phone with talk 24 think thats phone xl
    XL TV

    For £34.95

On the other thread someones saying they are getting same as me but with xl bb for £34.50

Few others I've noticed too that are a bit different
    Thanx

Just received latest bill after changes to my package in above post.

I'm paying £19.70/month, not the £22.70/month I thought I would be paying !! (£26/month discount on standard costs)

    WooWoo !! :j :T

Are you sure that isnt because they might have refunded a bit because of slight overpayment inbetween months when you changed or have they confirmed this as permanent?

If your getting that, the only difference between yours and mine is you dont have the fam pack xl tv but you do have call reminder and fully itemized billing which I dont. They have quoted me £34.95 so I'm paying just over £15 more than you just because I have xl tv I'd rather go without the tv and pay £15 less and have the call reminder and itemized billing as a bonus then if thats case

Is it a customer loyalty package?
    Thanx

Did anyone get through to retentions after 7 35pm tonight?

I rang through to them at 6 37pm and waited all that time then a man came on at 7 35pm and told me sorry youve been waiting but all our systems are down can you ring back on monday

Couldnt help wondering if they had so many calls they might have decided they couldnt deal with all of them before 8pm so cut them down a bit that way
    Thanx

Any one off credit due to changeover from old to new package is shown on different part of bill, not where the monthly service charges are shown.

I have a £26 Loyalty Discount shown where service charges are on bill, which I have been told is permanent.

    So I'm paying £19.70/month (£45.70 total service charges - £26 loyalty discount).

    Depends whatever you really want.
I used to have Base TV Pack (size L) & 4Mb Broadband (size L).
I have gone down to Free TV Pack (size M) 2Mb Broadband (size M).

If you look at my posts you'll see I have had 2 discount deals & maneouvered my package to what I need at a good price.

I have always had Itemised Billing & Call Reminder.
You might want one of other services available like Caller Display etc.

    See following link:

    Calling Features
    http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/phone/phonefeatures.html

Talk International/Talk Mobile give cheaper international calls & calls to mobiles, if any use to you.

    Talk International/Talk Mobile
    http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/phone/phoneinternational.html
    http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/phone/phonemobile.html

But in a 5 minute conversation, it can be tricky trying to get too many freebies.
So main thing is to get the important services you want at a good price.

Have you had a deal already ??
Sounds like you want to go from Family TV Pack to Free TV Pack, plus 1-2 add-ons. (Itemised Billing, a calling feature, whichever are useful).

    Which thread/post is this ??

Remember, all the deals can vary slightly.

They'll do a deal on whatever package & services you are currently on or may offer upgrades.

It just depends on the advisor & what you ask for.
