Big smiles...
We've been having problems with NTL for a while. We've been with them for about 10 years (or whatever they were called before they became NTL). Last May, I had enough of paying a small fortune for my internet and phone (with analogue TV) seperately so asked them to put me on the £30 digital TV package. The price (before calls) had risen to £49 a month over the last 10 months, and that was with only basic TV. After the whole BSkyB/Virgin Media fiasco, we decided we'd had enough and called BT to go back to them (I didn't care about losing the channels, mind. What bothered me was Virgin's childish behaviour). Just called NTL and said we were off and the man immediately put us on a new package for £19.95 a month - basic digital, 2meg internet, and all inclusive telephone to include mobiles and international calls (I sometimes work abroad so this is great for us). We then decided to upgrade to the superduper TV package (200 channels which I wont watch but they'll interest my sister's kids when they visit) for a total of £34.99 a month. It would have cost us about that to go over to Talk Talk on their superduper phone and internet deal... Some good negotiating there...
Virgin: "Madam we could..."
Me: "No!"
Virgin: "But we..."
Me: "No!"
Virgin: "What about..."
Me: "NO!"
Virgin: "OK, you can have everything for 20 quid"
Me: "Love you!"With all of my dietary restrictions, I'm left with lipstick and water0 -

Oops, sorry, not been back to this forum for a few days. Go to the website, click on 'search to find an alternative number' (top left) then enter the name of the company you're searching for. Bingo.

The TV channels. More than we had before but if I find we don't watch them, we'll get them removed (there is one particular channel I like that we could only get by having this new package). With all of my dietary restrictions, I'm left with lipstick and water0 -

I have exactly this and rang 150, 3,2,3 and said I had been a loyal customer since '99 but was thinking of switching to Sky now.
they reduced by bill from £56.50 to £41.95 and upped me to talk unlimited at no extra cost FOR LIFE.
I also got an extra set top box for £9.50 per month, free install.:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0 -
Hi can anyone recommend non-cable services with good packages? I am moving into a new flat, and we are not allowed any cable or dishes, therefore, only services that can be accessed via the phoneline. I already know that NTL/Virgin cannot help.. Is anyone else in the same situation? I would like at least a phone line and broadband access.0

£34.99. The base thing was £20 but then we decided to add the extra TV. It's a lot less than we were paying before and the same as we would have paid with another company (without the TV) so we don't mind. With all of my dietary restrictions, I'm left with lipstick and water0
