Thanks all! Just phoned up Virgin and now have phone(m), dtv(m) and broadband (m) all for £20 / month. Told the guy that I didn't want the tv anymore and would like the phone and broadband for £20. Didnt take long to include the tv as well although it is only the basic package.0

I have exactly this and rang 150, 3,2,3 and said I had been a loyal customer since '99 but was thinking of switching to Sky now.
they reduced by bill from £56.50 to £41.95 and upped me to talk unlimited at no extra cost FOR LIFE.
I also got an extra set top box for £9.50 per month, free install.
What are you getting for this?
I just phoned and got my bill reduced but I still not sure I got a brill deal?
I got for £52.50 2Mb Broadband all the tv (sports movies etc) and phone but have to pay on top for my phone calls - although don't use that much as I have virgin mobile for £10 a month 300 txts 300 mins - can anyone tell me is this good?- or should I phone and real deal - if so what do I say? Thanks
P.S I did get one month tv credit for the lose of sky one (said I was an advid lost fan!!!) :rotfl: :rotfl:'It Will be Mine in 2009' Challenge Member Number 88

Going to try and get my nans reduced when she returns from hospital."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -

I was paying £24.99 for 4mb Broadband and £24.99 for telephone on the 24/7 unlimited deal. After speaking to customer services I now have the same TV & Broadband but for £25 a month for life with the offer of free installation and use of the basic Virgin TV package should I want it. There is also the offer of a Virgin Mobile SIM card at £10 per month with 300 minutes/ 300 texts and unused roll over for one month.
Family and friends have had similar reductions and offers saving anything from £23 to £30 per month. Apparently these new deals are available to any exisitng customer but you have to ask for them or wait until Virgin contact you. I made contact through 01642 88 03 88 but that is a number specific to my local area. My brother in law was redirected to his local area which was previously Telewest and got a similar deal.
I was also told that Virgin are planning to upgrade their basic broadband service to 10 mb soon. The two cheaper options will be 10mb but will have different download limits. I think he said the top package will then be about 50 mb .
They are clearly keen to keep customers.0 -
