Hi,
I took out my offer on the 26th of May. My bills are paid/covered from the 6th of the month to the 7th of the following month.
I would like to downgrade my tariff after the mandatory 6 months are up (26th Nov).
When is the best time/date I should contact CPW Vodafone dept. to downgrade?
I am sure I can DOWNGRADE after 6 months becuase it is mentioned on the OSPS site and I was told by various sales staff that I am still allowed my cashback!
Thanks,0 -

This is a first time post for me. But I had to share this nightmare experience with everyone. Unfortunately I sent my claims by 1st class mail. They claim that they have only received one of my claims which they claim to have received after the claim period and claim not to have received my second claim at all despite sending them at the same time albeit in different envelopes. I'm prepared to call their bluff and take them to a SCC for the 1st claim but have no idea if I have any recourse about the claim they say they haven't received.0

Don't worry too much since even the courts send their communications by first class post only and that is enough for them. Put your claim in and I suspect they will settle before the SCC.0

you can't actually lower your tariff for 6 months as the network don't allow it, although you can up your contract to a higher or same cost one which might affect the claim0 -

Today I got a letter from their Group Legal Dept i.e. Carphone Warehosue legal team in London offering a full payment in return for me withdrawing my claim.
Everyone, if they won't pay you what they owe you sue the ********. You have nothing to lose and they WILL pay up before it gets to court - presuming you have complied with all terms and conditions.0 -

No need for the language. Its always cheaper for companies to pay out, rather that send a solicitor to court for a day to fight a case.Originally Posted by richardjames73

This may help about the tariff downgrade:
http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/cs/cs_usefulinfo.htm under Q. When can I change my tariff?
I am still unsure when I should call to downgrade. Any other people downgrading, who took out the offer in May?
Thanks,0 -

Thanks,
WARNING
The link you quoted refers does not specifically refer to cashback schemes. It is in fact the small print to stop people signing up for an expensive tariff to get a horribly expensive phone free and then downgrading.
For cashbacks you must read the terms and conditions that came with the phone. Mine quite explicitly says "To enable you to claim you must remain on your chosen tariff."0 -

despite it saying that, you can change. I phoned up to query this and was told it should say "To enable you to claim you must remain on your chosen tariff for 6 months." I have changed tariff and got cashback from then fine before.0
