I posted two cashback claims in the same envelope on 23 September, one dating from a January contract, the other May. The money for the first arrived on 14 October (cheque dated 26 September), but no sign of the second, even waiting for a week afterwards.
Afraid I'd breeched one of their fearsome compliance rules, I called on 21 October. They acknowledged the claim, said that their was nothing wrong with it, but that it was on their "new system" (I surmise that it was to do with the CPW takeover) and that the current backlog was 2 months, though no firm date can be given. It was entered on their system on 13 October.
All this points to their confusion and inefficiency rather than evil-doing, presumeably compounded by the levels of calls they are receiving in enquiry. All the same, I think I'll go elsewhere in future - it's just not worth the nerve-jangling that is engendered by this nonsense.0 -
I have thankfully, so far managed to claim two cashbacks successfully from OSPS for a relative and for myself. The first set of claims were around July 05, which I had to chase up by phone and then by email. I got no response on the phone and for a week or so could not get through on the Customer Service number (non-geo or landline). I had better luck with email and got a response saying that they were waiting for a re print of cheques.
With the second claim I got the cash backs within three weeks of sending in the claims.
I also had a nightmare trying to obtain my cheque for recommending friends. I started chasing in February 05 and they sent me vouchers in August 05.
However, I feel I will be staying away from OSPS in the future and every time it comes to claiming cash backs from them I get a bit nervous when sending in the claims. I just do not know what will happen next.
Just be persistent and don't give up.0 -
Got my 2nd cashback cheque last week £75, sent off claim on 3rd Oct, cheque dated 5th Oct. So it took about 3 weeks, I am waiting for a cheque of £110 from my second phone which was sent off 2 weeks ago. I always send special post for peace of mind.
I haven't had any problem with their cashbacks so far (hope it stays that way), people who are having problem should keep chasing what is rightfully yours, dont let them get away with it.0 -
Anyone know the best person to email my complaint to about osps.0

I got my first cashback about 4 months ago and had no problems - it took about 3 weeks. I'm just about to send in my second and after reading this thread and others I'm slightly anxious! Is this the right address to send to:
Claims Department
One Stop Phone Shop
Datum House
Electra Way
Crewe
CW1 6ZT
- or should I use the address they originally gave me (which worked ok for my first claim)?0 -

As far as I remember you was asked to fax them Proof of Signature?
Probably my experience will help you to save time and nerves. I sent mine twice by fax. The next day after I sent first fax I was asked to send it again :wall: . The next day I was told that I should have sent not only Proof of Signature, but corresponding bill as well  . This is what I am doing now :coffee: . I am also sending covering page with all detailes and am adding copy of Redemption Certificate - just in case - trying to predict their next move .... What will they ask tomorrow?
To add a bit more detail to Grumbler's good advice.
If it takes you a while to get your proof of signature, send a fax of your latest most current bill with it. I am currently required to send a fax of Novembers bill for my September claim to prove I'm still up to date in paying!
At least it will all be fresh in my mind when it's time for the January claim.0 -
I received the proof of signature from RM and faxed it over to OSPS.
Then got a phone call from a nice girl called Kellie, saying they had received my fax but asked if I could also fax over the phone bill I sent to them. I just hope it is the correct bill, I double checked with her that it was to be the bill I sent them in the original letter, but I see Imsi has faxed over the leatest copy of their bill.... Will have to wait and see what happens next.

Well, after going through the "Submit claim, sorry we can't find it, get proof and fax it in"...route, I received a text message this morning saying that :
"We have just released your cashback cheque. Apologies that this might have taken longer than expected. You should receive your cheque within 14 days. Thanks. OneStop"
I claimed on 28th September. Of course, this may be a ploy and I'll wait until the cheque is received, banked and cleared before I celebrate....0 -
I got an email from Kellie from OSPS a couple of days ago saying they would be sending texts out to people to advise them of when they would be sending the cheques out. Low and behold, I got a text today saying to expect my cheque within 14 days.
I really hope for all our sakes that OSPS are finally getting their act together with this cash back fiasco, but as 'odowdchr' says, it's probably too early to celebrate yet.
They have also said that if you do not receive your text over the weekend to contact them so they can investigate it further.Sexkitten
