My cashback form was recieved by them on 12 sept I think, 5 weeks and 3 phone calls later they still haven't paid up. Each time i've been told "a few more days..." but yesterday I actually got someone being honest and said he couldn't give a timeframe but I'll get my money....eventually. He said it was because they were merging their system with the CPW one but I'm sure they were using that as an excuse about 4 months ago0

I've been 'lucky' so far and got 2 x £100 cashbacks. Still wouldn't get anything else from them again thou.0

I think they may have done this in my case and OSPS have taken full advantage of it by pretending it never arrived.
Fortunately for me however, OSPS, purely accidentally, sent me two sheets of cashback forms when I ordered the phone so I filled in the spare and sent it Special Delivery. I am now in the process of claiming £30 of the Post office for the 'lost' item. I'll probably get that sooner than my cashback for the phone.
I think i remember this from May, they accidentally sent you a second set with the late car charger or something?
I never did get my £10 "High Street" vouchers for online ordering though....
I sent my claim off last week, Special Delivery. I know they've received it because i've checked the Royal Mail website but the next step is to ring and see if they've stuck it on the system.0 -
If you send your cashback form by Recorded Delivery as it is classed as 'Valuable Mail' then it is excluded from the £30 compensation and they only have to give you 12 First Class stamps.
If you want compensation in case of loss you would need to send it by Special Delivery which would pay out up to £500 on the standard charge.

Can I just mention my earlier post about which bill to send in http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=100315 (sorry cant do the shrtened links !).
Can anyone confirm whether or not this matches what they have been told by OSPS ??
I am going to call again in the next day or two to see whether they tell me the same thing.
I most certainly intend to start small claims court proceedings if the cashback does not come promptly. What seems to be totally inexcusable is the delay between processing claims and sending out cheques. Perhaps some wasted legal costs will prompt them to get their act together. Why dosent everyone do this ? It can be done quickly and cheaply on the web.0 -

I emailed them with this question:
I recently ordered two phones that involved a cashback deal.
The leaflet enclosed with the phones was not entirely clear. The first code on the cashback is M4, do you need a copy of the 4th bill or the one after 4 months of being connected..
i.e. connection on 5th July
First bill received on 22nd July (for line rental up to 22nd July and for next month up to 22nd August)
Second bill received on 22nd August
Third bill received on 22nd September
Fourth bill received on 22nd October
Fifth bill received on 22nd November
Which of the above bills will you need me to send back with the cashback form?
and received this response:
Thank you for your email. With regards to your query, if your contract commenced on 5th July your first claim (m4) is due on 5th November. At this time you need to send to us the corresponding claim form from your Gift Redemption Certificate, together with a full copy of your most recent bill. If you receive your bills on 22nd of each month, you should send your bill from 22nd October. You have a 30 day period to claim your cashback.0 -

How do you go about doing this? What costs are involved? I might take it up if others do as my claim was confirmed as being received by them almost 5 weeks ago, I phoned them up on friday and they said they couldn't even give a date for when i would recieve the cashback!0 -

I had a few phones from them in the last couple of years and so far no problems with the cashback. (thank God) I sent in a bill on 20th september and got the cashback cheque yesterday.
Sofar I have always sent it by Recorded mail. In the above example, I would send them a copy of the bill dated 22 October and 22 November,so that they have no excuse of not getting the correct bill.0 -
i have threatened them with email small claims court i sent me cashback 22nd August.:ASexy_fufu:A0

Interesting point. It narrows the window to apply (as I won't receive the November bill until after the 22 November, but the claim must be with them by the 5th December), but as you say provides fewer excuses to wriggle out of paying.0
