I was just having a look at the costs for the small claims court and it would cost £30 to file a claim (I think), does this get refunded at the end or something? (assuming you're successful of course).
Or are you just going to use the SCC as a threat rather than actually pursue it all the way?0 -
They do have some of the best deals, and I am in 2 minds about ordering from them again. But I have learnt my lesson from the 2nd contract, and if there is anything wrong with the order after 7 days just return it. I've also heard a lot of people have got e2save to price match them, which seems like a great idea.[/QUOTE]
ONESTOPPHONESHOP AND E2SAVE ARE THE SAME COMPANY CARPHONEWAREHOUSE BOUGHT OSPS THIS YEAR.Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0 -

Do you want to say that they have the same CS? Or that OSPS CS is as good as CPW or e2save? OSPS offer good deals, but is well known fact that rare company (if any) has worse CS than OSPS. Just search this board for 'osps*' and you will see ... Expectations that their CS will get better after acquisition by CPW have not come true yet ...0 -
Hi,
I'm planning to send my first cashback claim for the K750i (Virgin) tomorrow (M4 "gift", order date was 6/6/2005).
I was filling in the claim form, but it needs an "Order number" which I don't have in any of the papers I got. I do have "Transaction", "Delivery", "Customer" and "Invoice" numbers as well as the original Web order reference number (starts with OR...).
Does anyone know if the order number is one of these numbers or must I call them tomorrow to get it?
Thanks in advance

I've been on contract with them since July and should have had automatic cashback in August. Telephoned in september and still waiting, will be sending off for cashback next week wonder how long that will take. Will not bother with cashback contracts again.0 -
charlotte3 wrote:i know this topic has been discussed many times before and could probably have it's own forum... but I thought I would just warn others about sending their casback claim forms to OSPS.
I sent mine 2 days ago via Royal Mail Special Delivery, it was delivered and signed for. I rang them yesterday to confirm receipt but it was not showing on my account so the assistant advised me to call back today, which I have just done. It is still not showing on my account, so I have now had to contact Royal Mail for a 'proof of signature' to be sent to me.
If you have sent your claim in (Special Delivery is the most reliable, I sent one in via recorded and it got lost! Be warned!), do not assume that they have a record of it, make sure you ring them to see if they have applied it to your account. There seems to be no limits to the amount you have to chase this company to get your money! It seems they will try everything to get out of paying you!!
Same deal as you Charlotte. Special Delivery, signed for and received on 3/10/05. Rang yesterday...no record of it. Promised a callback from 'the accountant'.....nothing. Rang again just now......no record of my claim as being received...... "so please can you get a proof of signature from the Post Office?"
I had my rant and said a few choice words....although i have to say that the Customer Services lady was very helpful and polite. This is obviously a game to OSPS and they want to see how well we can all play it.
I've got this image of a bent old geezer in a OSPS uniform signing for all their postage, dragging a big sack down to the dungeon and throwing the whole bloody lot in the furnace... :rotfl:0 -

OSPS can just **** off from the face of this earth !!!
I am being told by OSPS, that I as a customer who paid for special delivery to Royal Mail was a pointless exercise!
My claim was received by OSPS on monday which has been confirmed by RM. OSPS seem to think that nothing has been sent and thus no system updates. I am being ASKED to chase up RM and get a bloody proof of signature. They will only process my damn claim if I email/fax the proof of the bumbling OSPS idiot who signed for my package.
This is fricken 2005! Why should a customer chase things up!
[ Which address did people send their claims to ? How do I get a proof of signature from RM? Will there be a cost involved? How will RM send a proof to me?]
Thanks,0 -

It's the transaction number. I rang customer services to ask.
They were very helpful actually and told me exactly which dates and bills I needed for ALL my redemptions for all my phones(3).
Then I sent my redemption cert off by recorded delivery which they say did not arrive. Got my proof of signature (£2.50), scanned and faxed it to them. Phoned them to make sure, They said it should go through.
We'll see what develops.
They also forgot my cash back after first month payment. When I queried this the operator said 'yes, I can activate that' !
My experience is that the CS staff are very helpful but whoever is operating the cashback service is either hopeless or deliberately spoiling.
Having dealt with insurance companies who put any number of obstacles my way before they paid out my claim this doesn't entirely surprise me, but compared to Dialaphone who I bought 2 phones off a year ago without a cashback hitch, OSPS have been poor.0
