i sent my first cashback 2 weeks ago & Royal Mail website says it got delivered. Does anyone know if they send you a text or email to confirm they have it or does the cheque just turn up?

    Thanks

never received a text or email although i always requested one. you are typically looking at 2 months before you receive the cheque. i would call them and confirm that they have indeed received it.

This is a NIGHTMARE having just got a OSPS contract phone with cashback. There am I naively believing that a company owned by CPW would not be a problem when it comes to cashback, a progressive modern company, fronted by a plausable chairman (Charles Dunstone) and keen to get a large foothold in the landline phone/broadband/mobile market. I have already had my early warning signs, having been promised a chequeback of £30 for taking the contract back in November and still received nothing (about 10 calls to customer services - all apologetic of course - and one letter to the CEO (nothing back) ) It is disgraceful.

Does anyone know any email addresses of the CPW hierachy, particularly Dunstone himself? Are there any CPW/OSPS employees, or ex employees on this site?

This company is useless. I contacted to a contract in April 06. I connected with Vodafone and had my number ported so wasn't actually connected to the network until 20th April, 10 days after they sent me the phone. My first cashback claim (according to OSPS) was due on the 10th September. I sent it on the 8th September by recorded post. There was a delay in sending as CPW Vodafone was not doing the billing of Vodafone any more. So I sent, it was received by them on the 11th September which according to them is too late, even though connection date was on the 20th of the month. I called them up and they refused to give me my money. I sent numerous complaint letters and threatened court and still they didn't pay. I have now got a court date for the 29th March 2007. They refusing to pay £53.33 and would go to court. Pathetic.

If anyone is waiting for recommend a friend vouchers from them and haven't paid I suggest taking a complaint up with the adversiting standard authority (ASA). I did this and within 2 days they sent me vouchers. I looks like this company never wants to give out any money.

Which bill do I send in, bill 4 covering the period till 14 Feb or bill 5 covering the period till 14 Mar?

    Many thanks

You must send your most recent bill (providing it is not older than 28 days, at the time you make a claim.)

I think the 28 day rule from their website means I send in bill 5.

I have my claim readu to send off recorded delivery on Monday.

Strange thing happened today, I received a cheque for £21 from OSPS. What could this be?

I am definitely on the 9 months free rental, £90 at months 4,8 and 12.

Saves calling to see what the status of a claim is.
    Seth.
  • As I have just posted in another thread I received my 90 day automatic chequeback this morning from OSPS. It was about a month late but it has arrived. My girlfriends also arrived a couple of weeks ago.

Not had any experience of the normal cashbacks yet as I am waiting for my orange bill to arrive. My girlfriend is currently waiting for her 4 month cheque to arrive which OSPS say has been raised. If it doesn't arrive my the end of the week it will be chased.

So they actually update the status column?

If so, how long after you sent in your claim?

    Thanks

I logged into my osps casback calculator and my cheque has been raised :j took out contract 17th october due to claim 17th feb-17 march, waited on my 5th bill which arrived 23rd february to which i copied and sent off by special delivery that day and was totally shocked that the chq has been raised so quickly.
