  • In my opinion, this company act with blatent disregard and contempt for their customers. Earlier this year I took out 8 contracts with them. Recently, after they repeatedly broke promises and did not pay monies owed to me, I was forced to issue proceedings against them in the small claims court. Eventually, they decided to pay the money owed to me and I was told by a Solicitor from their legal department that this should never have progressed this far and the company should have paid the monies owed straight away. However, my impression is that they would anything to avoid fulfulling their contractual obligations. I spoke to the MD of the online department, Chris Murton and I expressed my feelings to him. After having spoken to him, I now understand why the company is in such a state!!!! Charles Dunstone refused to speak to me about the matter. In my opinion the company is rotten from the top and I would certainly advise anyone to stay well clear of the Onestopphoneshop section of the Carphone Warehouse group.

  • Quick question....

I checked on the OSPS site using the "cashback calculator".

My claim time was 17 December - 17 January.

So i went to the post office on 15 January and sent it special delivery so it would reach them on 16th Jan.
Unfortunatly the special delivery van had left 2 minutes before i got to the post office so the woman said "your letter will be sent out on the 16th instead".

So basicly, my claim reached OSPS on the 17th January.
If the claim time is 17 dec - 17 Jan....do I stand a chance of getting cashback?
They have already sent a letter to me saying it was too late and now i won't be getting any further cashback. But I think my claim should still be valid if they received the claim on the 17th.
Can't call customer services as they are closed on weekends.

Can anyone tell me if I'm entitled to cashback?

    Hi all

This is such a long post so I am not sure if my the answers I am looking for are already in here.

I will very shortly be needing to send off my fourth monthly bill for my first claim for this phone, but I do not have the little cashback forms. I am sure that they used to have these available to print off their website, but they dont seem to have it anymore.

What it does say though is that you have to call them within 14 days of receiving the phone, otherwise they will not send you the form. And obviously they will not accept my claim without the form, so I am in a bit of a dilemma.

I am hoping that some of you very helpful people have some info or advice that I could do with before I give them a call.

    Thanks in advance.

Which bill do I send in, bill 4 covering the period till 14 Feb or bill 5 covering the period till 14 Mar?

    Many thanks

You must send your most recent bill (providing it is not older than 28 days, at the time you make a claim.)

I think the 28 day rule from their website means I send in bill 5.

I think something needs to be done about these companies that offer cashback and fail to deliver. They should all be made to do cashback automatically without the requirement for redemption paperwork and with the onus being on the individual. There ought to be tougher and tighter regulation on these so companies........
  • They rely on around 1/3 of people falling foul of the system for various reasons that is how they make their money. The get kickbacks from the phone companies for introducing customers and from the insurance companies for the same.

If we all claimed correctly and in time it would not be good business for them. That is why they are economic with the truth when you try to claim.

Some people have no trouble at all. But these companies will use any excuse not to pay yo out.
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!

You are in the same situ at me, i got my contract on the 15 oct and i was wondering what bill so send in and through advice on here and re reading osps calculator i can claim 17 feb - 19 March and the only bill that will be valid is the one i recieve round about the 22nd feb (bill 5) as if i send in my january bill (4) it will be 28 days old by the time they process it. So i think bill 5 is my answer (i hope)

Not according to OSPS themselves. If your starting date is 17 Feb then the previous bill to that is acceptable. It is your choice if you want to wait for the Feb bill.

    OSPS Cashback rules

I have went through everything again and according to the rules or my interpretation of them i have to send my most recent bill available from 17 feb providing it is not more than 28 days old (28 days is 16th feb) , with my invoices being dated 19th that then makes my january invoice too old and therefor it must be the february invoice i have to send providing i get it to them by 19th march which isnt too bad as i will recieve it 22 feb ish.
