Can you really send copies? I though they would only accept the original?

I only ever send copies, remember to send a copy of your purchase invoice, and the cashback certificate.

Been doing this for almost 2 years just never missed a payment yet!

Send a copy, send it recorded delivery one per phone. I have 3 phones 2 on the same bill, but they want one letter per phone, so I copy one invoice twice and sent 2 copies one for each phone, same with the purchase invoice.

If they loose the item, you have proof you sent it, so they ask you to fax your airtime invoice, only happened once to me, but after I'd faxed the airtime bills they had found my letter and photocopied bills.

OK I had 3 phone via OSPS on 12 months contract.

Then 12 month period ended 7th Jan 05 I waited until I had the bill for month 12 (10th Jan 05) and called Orange to terminate the contract. Of course I had to pay 30 days from 10th Jan to 10th Feb.

What is the best way to wind down a contract and not breach the terms for the cash back. Ideally I'd like my contract to end at the end of 12 months.

Second related question, last time I did not keep my number, not too bothered. If I wanted to, what is the best way of

1) Porting my number
2) Getting it put onto a new phone from OSPS!

I'm contract on Orange now, I have a spare Virgin PAYG SIM and easy mobile sim, and lots of free SIM 02 etc.. So I'm happy to port temporarily to one of these, only to transfer back to Orange on a new contract. Never done this so I need advice on the best route and timing.

I've always order the phones via Quidco / Greasy palm so would like a web only solution. Ideas comments and advice welcome.

I'm happy with OSPS cashback, they have paid all my claims totalling >£1000 and as they are part of CPW they are less likely to go bust.

I'm after a 12month contract with 12month free airtime so any recommendations welcome.
Seth.
• I ordered via quidco..

The online system denied my online application saying that I do not pass the credit check.
I don't really bother, as I was busy at that time.
However, next morning, the postman come with the phoen that i ordered.

It will be interesting to see if the quidco cash back got denied as well.

My phone developed a fault within 2 weeks of having it, returned via special delivery the next day. 4 weeks on still no phone, apparantly they have run out of stock & don't know when they're expected in.
The customer service team is the worse i have come across & that's saying something. These guys are apparantly owned by CPW, but when you call them, they wash their hands off you.
I really wish i had never dealt with these ppl. On friday i had to wonder the dark streets in an unsavoury part of london with 2 young babies, as my car had broken down & i had to call the aa :(, i was livid, i really don't know how to handle this further, :( any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
No one said it was gonna be easy!
• I ordered a new phone from OSPS on 13/10/06 which included a free Nintendo DS lite which should have been despatched within 28 days.

I have still not received the gift and my e-mails are being ignored. I have tried phoning but never got through yet. It seems so unfair when they are so penickity about when they receive bills etc.

Any suggestions???

I've had exactly the same problem with OSPS, my phone was faulty on delivery, so was the replacement. Got a returns authorisation, after 10 day wait I rang to see where the replacement was, "it'll be sent out today" was the reply. After 2 weeks still no phone so I rang again "you'll have it tomorrow or the day after". rang again 4 days later "sorry we're out of stock" what a bunch of !!!!!!! They don't give a monkeys about the customer, you can't get a reply to emails or letters no matter who you send them to (e.g CEO's office etc.) definately would not use them ever again,

bluesru5, totally agree, they are a bunch of !!!!!! :(, i really feel such a fool for going with them, after everything i should have read here :(
I emailed Charles Dunstone on got a reply from the following email address
cdunstonereply1163466961@cpw.co.uk
i know it looks weird & there's another one
cdunstone@cpw.co.uk

Maybe drop him a line, i c/c watchdog on the same mail, i don't know what else to do :(, do you think if we stopped payment that would get their attention, i am sure they are in breach of contract......

Any thoughts from out there?!?!
Thanks in advance for any advice :)

• I don't know the full ins and outs of stopping payment but I'm sure i read in a post it will only result in a CCJ and bad credit rating.

As far as the email addresses for Mr Dunstone, I'va already tried them and another suggested elsewhere on the forum, lokks like he's not daft enough to open his own emails for fear of what he'll read about himself and his crap company. It's a damn shame really, as I've said before we should be full of praise for him, if it wasn't for companies like CPW we'd have to resort to the network providers like O2, Orange, Voda etc and not have the competative market place we've got, but then at least we'd have some customer service and not just be ignored.
