Hmm no mention of them on the simply drop website.
Found a number though so will give them a call.0 -
Has anyone used selloldmobile.co.uk? They are giving the best price through Quidco for my phone.
Edit: but have just looked at Amazon as someone suggested and get even more. Is Amazon as fraught with pitfalls and traps as ebay? Have never sold anything on either of them!!! It scares me.If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
my 14 year old son recently sent his old phone to envirofone and was told he would get £13, not a fortune but extra pocket money for him. after weeks of hearing nothing i contacted them and they said his phone was broken (utter rubbish) and he had automatically accepted £3 as he hadn't replied to e-mails. we checked his e-mails/ spam box and he had never recieved e-mails from envirofone. asked for his phone to be returned and was told that they had sold it. also still not recieved the cheque for the measly £3. no wonder they can afford adverts on tv if they rip everyone off for £10 !! :mad:0

Hi. I have a got a couple old phones lying around, and am probably gonna sell the more recnt one on ebay. But it's not worth the effort for the cheaper older ones. However at least one of them is locked to T-Mobile and what I want to know is, if it's phones that are locked to a network that these companies dont recycle, or if it's just ones that are completely blocked from use.
If anyone has sent a locked (not blocked) phone off successfully please let me know.0 -
where do you get best deal0

Just a word of caution about Simply Drop. I sent three old mobiles to them a couple of weeks ago - all minus sim cards and memory cards. All in good working order and complete with batteries.
Two of the phones I recieved payment for - but one they 'claim' was sent minus a battery - something i can categorically confirm is not true! I packaged all the phones and sent them complete.
Had they found a techical fault I would have been surprised, but accepting (these things can be subjective). But to fabricate the fact that a battery is missing is not on.
I am irritated that I dont seem to have any recourse - and its the big boys word against the rest of us minnions.
I have sent an email to the chief exec so will wait and see...0 -
hi
i have recently tried out sellular-phones.com
i sent my nokia 6500 classic in and they offered me one of the highest prices for the handset, eventhough they said payment within 72 hours i got mine in 4-5 days, i guess its not that bad i suppose.
has anyone else tried it or heard of them?0 -
Sent 3 K220i phones to Mobile Phone Xchange for a return cheque of £45.00.
Received a text saying a cheque for £3.00 would be with me within 10 days.
Argued the toss, they said I had sent them 3 x J200i phones.
I said I could supply the IMEI numbers of all three phones.
Email received saying "I have had the phones re-inspected and the error was on our part, I am very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you"
Yes it was inconvenient..........numerous emails and phone calls, phone calls I found out after being told someone would call me back, is in fact a CALL CENTRE.
MAKE A NOTE OF THE IMEI NUMBERS BEFORE YOU SEND IT OFF
I too have had problems with Mobile phone Xchange. All other companies I have dealt with in the past always agree to return your handset to you, should they find them not in "fully working order" but this is not the case with MPX. I sent them a fully working phone, for a cheque of £25, but due to a crack in the cover, they have now offered me £7! When I rang up and queried it, they said that this offer was a mistake and agreed to up it to £15, but if I'm not happy with that price it's basically tough, as they will not return any handsets! :mad:I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0 -

Very interesting, seems to be a habit of theirs.....I am also having the exact same problem with mobilephonexchange, I sent them a fully working phone (that I had kept over and above my contract with orange care). They initially sent me an offer reduced from £40 to £11, when I disputed their findings they then said that there had been a mistake and increased their offer to £25.
Because I have rejected their increased offer and am still disputing the fault which they claim to have found on my handset, they are now trying to get me to claim from royal mail, stating that the fault must have happened in transit.
I am going to fight this but find there is no guidence available as to my legal rights in this matter, so its not easy!!!
Think everyone should fight this if they sent off a phone that complied with their definition of a fully working phone, this has got to be stopped! I wonder how many people have accepted the reduced offer because they didn't know what else to do??0 -
