I used Mazuma to sell my 1st iPhone and no problems at all. I just sold my second iPhone to CeX after hearing they were good but they are AWFUL! Yes they offer the best quote but you won't get it
I'm mad as hell but they won't even reply to my emails anymore and are basically saying 'tough'! I expected £197 but got £156 which is even LESS than they're offering online for a C grade phone. I don't understand why it was graded as a C either. It was def not in poor condition. Would never ever use them again and with I'd gone back to Mazuma. I would have ended up with more cash than I have with crap CeX and I'd have been able to keep all my accessories. So disappointed!

Just done a quick search and looks like I can get £25 for my old SE k800i. One question - its been on an orange contract and is therefore locked. Its turns on ok and everything else is ok. Does this matter at all?
Cheers.

They send you a freepost envelope and when they claim not to have received your phone, they point out that they recommended you used special delivery in the small print (why then send the freepost envelope?!). This also means you can't claim against Royal Mail as you don't have proof of purchase.
This has just happened to me. DO NOT USE ENVIROFONE.
My advice to anyone using a supplied Freepost envelope is to do the following:
Buy a proper Jiffy bag or larger envelope so that you can bubble-wrap your phone properly before sticking it in. Then, just tape the Freepost envelope to the front of the Jiffy bag so you can still use the Freepost. Then, take this to the Post Office and pay a little bit of money to add recorded delivery to the Freepost - you can do this. The postage is free so you're only paying for the 'recorded' charges. Of course, if your phone is worth more than around £50, I would personally send it Special Delivery - still nicely bubble-wrapped of course. These two steps should give you more of a fighting chance to get the correct value for your phone as not only has it less chance of getting damaged en route, which can happen, but you can also then claim from RM if it does disappear on it's way. If you've ever seen some of the undercover filming within the RM, I think these two simple steps are essential!
Cheers.

Envirofone
I posted my phone to Envirophone using their envelope but loads of bubble wrap and adding recorded deliver, on 19th Feb. No news for ages so I checked track and trace and it turns out that Envirofone refused delivery as the parcel was damaged.....
Royal Mail have sent the parcel to Belfast where it's waiting to be logged into their system then returned to me, which apparently will take another 2 weeks.
This has not been a good experience.
My query is, if the phone has been damaged, will RM compensate me?

what do these places class as not working??
i have an N95 that works fine, the only fault is the charger socket on the phone is broken & it wont charge
will they still pay the not working price for it???
i can send it fully charged as i can charge the battery in another phone0 -
Like I mentioned in another forum, I used Mobile Phone Xchange and they were really good for me. I think people expect too much from trading in their phone, like it's gold or something! If you accept the fact that you're not gonna make a fortune off it because it's been used you'll be a lot better off! If companies like this didn't exist the phones would be lying around gathering dust and causing damage, it's good to get even just a little bit of money so stop being greedy! The experts know what they're doing.0

Hi guys,
I have searched this and could not find an answer. I have an old ipod, and old creative mp3 player and an old tomtom gps, any clues which companies will receive them?
Mopay pays for working and non working ipods, but I have not been able to find other companies.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Royal Mail Simply Drop will take care of your Mp3 players, i'm not too sure about your TomTom tho.

Thanks sound_fm!!
Any clues as to which companies you can use your own envelopes and use their freepost address? So far I only see Mopay.
Thanks again.0
