My advice to anybody thinking of selling their phone to Mazuma is, DON'T. I used their services, they couldn't tell me how much it was worth before I sent it. After waiting for my money, about 2 weeks, I e-mailed them. They said that it had been sent to a third world country, but I was to receive no money-end of story. so they got a perfectly good working phone for nothing. They are just plain thieves. DO NOT deal with them. Be warned.0

I would have to say Tesco.
They have just sent payment for four phones based on their online prices, the 'trouble' is I only sent two. I also got four times the green club card points that were indicated online.
The letter says "we have valued your phones at ***** and enclose gift cards". It doeasn't say how many phones they have valued, so can I keep the money and assume that they valued my two phones at more than they first said as they were in such good condition?
Don't want to use the gift cards only to be asked for the money back later.0 -
Hi guys am having a major clear out and found quite a few things like handsfrees, in car chargers etc from some quite old phones, not really worth selling or anything, too much hassle. Does anyone know where I could donate these for recycling as a lot of the online phone websites just want your mobile and battery.
Cheers for the help, would be much appreciated as I haven't got room for anything like this anymore and would like to be environmentally friendly too!

If anyone is looking for a way to recyle old mobile phones for charity.. have a look at the Phones for Heroes project.
The project is run in support of the charity Help for Heroes. 60% of all proceeds go to the charity after allowing for delivery, collection and ancillary costs, to support them in providing direct help to our servicemen and women.
The project would really appreciate your support - plus you get to help a wonderful charity.
Thanks :-)0 -
Was quoted £73 to recycle a Nokia N96 with O2. I sent off my phone to them but they had reduced the quote by 50% because there was some "slight shading on the LCD screen" which was only noticeable to a technician when the screen was "whited out". There was nothing wrong with the phone and a friend from Vodaphone had checked it over beforehand and told me it was in perfect condition and had no flaws. On their website they say that the only reason to reduce the quote would be for a major issue- apparently the slight shading is a major issue. I spoke to a very nice girl at O2 called Donna who told me how she went on a training course with the technicians and how this type of damage was not noticeable to "ordinary people in ordinary conditions" so who exactly is going to be using the phone???? It just seems like a real cheat- O2- YOUR RECYCLE SCHEME IS A LOAD OF OLD RUBBISH!!!0

I used the compare prices link and sold my Samsung Monte to Money4urmobile as they were giving the best price.
The phone was very recent and had hardly been used. I was advised their price would be reduced by 5% per their Terms and Conditions. They said "Your handset received a 5% reduction due to minor scratches on the cover."
They must have had a microscope out to detect any scratches !
Be aware this lot look like they are looking for any excuse to pay less than they "promise"
I had no problems whatsover with MOPAY and RPC Mobile Recycle so there are good ones out there.0 -
Not if they pay more than 5% less than the price you were quoted....0

I've had positive experience with Topdollarmobile. I've used them twice in the last couple of months and on both occasions they've received the phones on the Monday and the money has been in my account on Friday the same week. I even sent them my old E63 which had several dents and chips in the casing and keyboard as well as a small crack in the screen and I was pleasantly surprised to receive the full amount for it.
Their communication could be better as on both occasions the money was in my account before they notified me of the payout. I also sent my phones special delivery at my expense rather than rely on their freepost service, but as I have received over £300 from them it was worth the extra cost to be on the safe side IMO.0
