    Anyone else used RPC Recycle?

Showing as the best price for both my phones, but never used it, always used fonebank which has been spot on.

    EDIT 22/01/2011

Decided to risk it and send just one of my phones off. sent it RMSD late wednesday afternoon, got an email from them thursday morning saying they had received it and they'll email again shortly after it had been tested. got an email a few hours later saying payment had been sent for the full £86! Decided to try using their Bacs method instead of messing about with a cheque, just checked my bank and it's in there!

more than happy with that service! will be using them again next week to send my other phone off :)
This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.
  • Have used Mazuma in the past and everything was done in a week. This year used Morpay as they were giving the best deal in M&S vouchers again all done in 10 days. So no problems from either of them, would use both again.

I sent my old mobile to mobile2points mobile recycling because it was an older model that no company wanted to pay me much for, so I thought nectar points was the better option in this case.
The phone was fully working when I sent it (tested prior to placing in the padded envelope), just no longer needed or wanted. After about a week or so I got an email stating they had received it.
They claimed it is not functioning, and wanted to give me a lot less points than it is worth as a result. They gave me the option to accept the lesser points or request it to be sent back (at cost to myself).

I opted for it's return because I know they were lying, as I know it was operational. I emailed back the same day requesting it's return. I never got a response to numerous emails asking for it back and certainly never got my mobile back. They simply went ahead and added the low value nectar points to my nectar account.

Clearly this company do this to award lower points than your phone is worth.
  • On Monday when I checked, my Nokia 5800 could get £80 at Envirofone, and it had been that price for a week or two. Now just a few days later when I actually want to sell, it's gone down to £70. £80 put it at the top on mobilevaluer.com, and it's still near the top and the others above it have poor feedback. What I'm wondering is whether recycling prices fluctuate a lot, so maybe worth waiting to sell to see if it goes back to £80, or whether it's unlikely to go back up again. Does anyone know?

I noticed that too with my 5800 that was £80 last week, now the best is £76 Money4mymobile which has poor feedback, £72 at Fonebank seems to be the best now

Another thumbs up from me for RPC Recycle, after the last one going smoothly I sent off my Blackberry 9700 bold, they were offering £10 more than anyone else @ £156 - sent the phone RMSD, they received it next day, 2 days later had the money in my bank account.

    Very good service!

Oh and the prices do fluctuate, one of the phones i recycled showed as being £80 for a while, then dropped to £72. But just had a look and it's gone up to £79.. pretty random really. Then I found RPC who were offering the most.

  • I sent off a Nokia N97 and Nokia music to Envirofone on 14th Jan. They still say they haven't received them and whenever we phone they either have a pre recorded message stating they are training staff or say that they don't know if they are received or not until after they are tested and they have a backlog to test so can't give a time frame as to when testing will happen! (Staff training is obviously not in customer service!)
Have used Mazuma before with no problems and am now beginning to think I may have been ripped off by Envirofone. Any one else have the same problem with Envirofone at the moment?
  • I sent my old Nokia to Simplydrop, got address from Moneysaving Expert. Got £9.00 for it, took a couple of weeks to get the postal order but all in all pretty good service. Nokias seem to be worth more for some reason, than the other makes.

I sent a couple of phones off to envirofone just under two weeks ago and am yet to hear anything. They're still showing as awaiting receipt on the envirofone website.

According to their website it can take up to 15 working days for them to arrive via the Royal Mail freepost service, so fingers crossed they haven't got lost and will get there eventually.
