    I sent in a N95 8GB (£140 with £5) and Nokia 6300 (£37 inc £5) over a week ago.

Sent seperately N95 via recorded delivery and got email saying they have received it and nothing for the 6300 which was just sent normal post with POP not recorded and they not confirmed they have received this phone as yet and it was sent on the same day.

Initial impression- Slow and untrustworthy!! We'll see I guess but CASH in 7 days is total nonsense.

    My current recommendation is AVOID.

I think love2recycle must have cottoned on that the code is on this site. It should work until 28th Feb, but seems to have stopped working already ... ?

I've just arranged to send in my old Ericsson T68 for £2 + £5 bonus. CHA-CHING!
  • Hi Ashley,

Moneysupermarket/Love2recycle have given us permission to highlight this code. It's still working - can you let me know what problems you're having. You need to enter the code after you've registered your details.

    Thanks

  • ***LOVE2RECYCLE CODE DOES WORK!!***
I registered with the website on the 11th Feb. I entered the details of my Motorola F3 (which I paid £8 for) and Samsung D500. Then I entered the code. They offered me £2 for the Motorola, £7 with the code , which was nearly what I paid for it brand new. And I got £5 for the Samsung, £10 with the code, this phone was old and scratched but in working order.
The postage is free (they send you a freepost envelope), you don't need to send your charger, sim or box.
They send you a couple of emails when your phone has arrived, when its been tested , how much they're offering (they don't include details of the code in the emails, you can log into your account to see that its been added), and that the checks have been sent out.
I received my check in the post this morning 25th Feb.
I no I didn't get much but I more than doubled the money with the code. And the Motorola F3 I nearly got what I paid for it and I still have the charger to sell.Make sure you do your mobiles all at once to get £5 extra for each phone. Cos you can't use it again...
    *Excellent service *

I'm sure someone can clear this up.

If i send a phone to Love2recycle is it just the phone I have to send? Do I have to send the charger? and what about other bits that would have been in the box.

The website doesn't say in the FAQ.

    Thanks

Yes just send the phone, not the charger or sim and none of the other bits. You can send it in the box iff your worried about it gettin damaged.
Make sure the phone is fully charged before you send it.
  • Hi, I have just helped my Dad to recycle his old mobile (Sony Ericsson k610i) through Fone bank. I checked approx 10 sites the majority of which offered £14.
I went with FB in the end as I haven't seen any messages from people who have had problems with them and Topcashback (which I had him sign up just before) offered £3 on top (as a new customer, £1.50 for exisisting)
The only drawback was that we didn't realise they don't send you a free envelope until the transaction had gone through; but no matter we have plenty of used jiffy bags and we popped it in one of those to the Freepost address and pre-filled a Proof of Posting certificate to get stamped.
After reading this thread, I'm very glad we did pick Fone Bank as it does seem to be the top runner next to Mazuma.
Anyhow only posted it today so will report any further progress.

I am just wondering if you send an old phone without a sim card. How do they check whether it is working e.g if the phone is locked to a network? Thanks
  • I sent 2 old handsets to Love2recycle and was quoted £16 for both. This included the £5 extra per set quoted on this site.
I duly sent them in,in the envelope provided and have been informed by email that I will be receiving the princely sum of £2. Has anyone else found this to be a scam??

When I got an email from them stating how much I would be receiving they didnt mention the £5 extra. So I emailed them and got a reply the same day. It said----

The emails are generic and the voucher is for a month's promotion and is therefore not displayed in the email.
Please accept our apology for any confusion caused.
