Has anyone up to date price information as we should see a major fall as oil has dropped so dramatically in US dollars. The pound exchange rate has also increased. Will be interesting to see how lpg firms react!

My rate has dropped from 67.7ppl in February to 57.5ppl now, usage around 2500l per year, stuck with current supplier due to issues with pipework and trees which they have no issues with, unlike Flogas and Avanti.

I'm on a variable rate with Avanti for the last few months of my contract.

I've just had them increase the rate to 53p/l due to 'operational costs' when wholesale rates have come down.

Just trying again to get a new supplier. I have had two refusals as they won't take on new customers who use less than 3000 litres per year. I have questioned this with them but no response yet. Is this common and does anyone know why? I seem to be stuck with Avanti who have been ok but as I can't get any competitive quotes they could just charge as much as they fancy which is not a comfortable position.

Can't help woithout more information. That is not common so far as I know.
Can you tell us who they were, and whereabouts you are? How much do you use?

I am on an auto top up plan with Calor Gas which seems to work quite well and my rate is 47.9 ppl there are local companies quoting 46ppl BUT they cannot take on an old Calor Gas tank I am being told ? for the amount I use its probably not worth the change as it would only save around £70 per annum and often Calor will just match the best rate when challenged

If the auto top-up is working well for you that is fine, but be aware it means Calor will fill the tank when convenient for them, not necessarily when you need it. Avanti nearly ran me out of gas and I have never allowed auto topups since. Keeping an eye on the gas level is scarcely a strenuous job. i just check it once a month, less in summer.

Calor have a legal responsibility to make the installation compliant. What specific objection do these other companies have? I would want to find out and if valid, discuss it with Calor. My tank, supplied (and subsequently replaced) by Calor, has been taken over by various companies since.
