We have just taken over a tank, it has calor written on it and the contract is with calor. Do we have to stay with calor? or can anyone help a newbie with a tank please

Welcome to the wacky world of lpg!
    - you don't have to stay with Calor (and probably shouldn't)
    - sit down and read the last dozen or so pages of this topic thread. There is a lot of good advice in there
    - tell us whereabouts you live, someone nearby might have a recommendation
    - there will be a metal plate somewhere on your tank, photograph it and find out the size and age of the tank. Also check the tank contents, 25% or less means you need to take action. 50% or more needed ideally, to go through the ordering and supply period without time pressure
    - read your contract carefully before you sign it to make sure it is what you agreed to. and above all:
    - don't trust any lpg salesperson. The industry is full of sharks

Good luck, and tell us how you get on!
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..

Use the UKLPG website to find your local suppliers:

    https://www.uklpg.org/advice/supplier-search

and don’t use Flogas - see previous posts about their practices.

    Also try Woldlink -

    Good luck! :)

The previous owner might have had a contract with Calor - but you don't. You can get quotes from everybody that supplies your area, and can sign up with whoever you please.

I've been very happy with Calor, tbh - just entering the second year of my second contract with 'em, with two years of ExtraFuel in the middle.
