I spoke to an extremely kind advisor at Worldlink who not only got me a great deal on LPG gas, but was patient enough to walk me through all relevant areas a new LPG customer should be comfortable with. I whole-heartedly recommend Worldlink for those looking to get a new bulk LPG gas as their customer service and quality of service are both superlative.
I wanted to go with woldlink, but unfortunately they couldn't take on a Flow Gas customer as they where purchasing a lot of their gas from them. "Read into that what you want" But, just for the shear helpfulness of their team i will go there after my new contract with Color is up. A lot of companies could learn a lot about customer services from this very helpful team at Woldlink. "Well done"0 -
Last November took out 2 year minimum deal with FloGas through LPG Save. 30.5p fixed for 12 months then max 5p rise in year 2.
Got a letter saying will be going up to 37p.
Phoned them and reminded them of the price guarantee - and asked if I was now free to leave as they were proposing to break the guarantee.
After going away for 10 minutes, came back and said it was an input error :rotfl: so now will be paying 35.5p.0 -

I got a letter from Flogas saying going up from fixed 30ppl to 35ppl from mid-November (obviously putting the price up to the maximum they can within contract). I need to remember to get the tank fill at the old rate!
The tank telemetry is good as I can see the level from the website. Currently 35% and going down 1% roughly every 3 days.0 -

... but you can guarantee that they won't be able to fill you up before 'mid November' due to exceptional demand!0 -
I live in a metered LPG estate in a village called Sauchen in NE Scotland and need some help in assertaining just what people are paying for LPG in other estates in the same situation as us.
We are served by Flogas and yet another price rise is on the way - "your price increase will be 38.38 pence per metre cubed".
Armed with a calculator and the last statement that equates to a new rate of 196.04m3 (or 50.91p/l) - a c.24% increase. The daily standing charge is 13.6p/day. Both values are before VAT.
Who knows if that rise equates to a rise in the Platts index pricing that they say they use to justify price changes - us plebs have no access to that information as its behind a paywall and its not evidenced in the letter (potential breach of contract there).
As you all know the LPG market is incredibly opaque so we need to understand how much we are being ripped off compared to others so we can refine our "discussion" with the local MP and the regulator.
Switching to another supplier is not going to be a short term possibilty as there are c.32 houses on the network, some of whom recently received (and signed) a fixed rate offer from Flogas - thus locking the rest of us for effectively the next two years (they also got the price rise increase letter).
Thus, one of the main issues we want to pursue with the politicians is how patently unfair the current situation is where everyone has to move at the same time.
Instead there should be a get-out clause put into all contracts whenever there is a price change, where the estate has the right to move to a new supplier when there is a simple majority of users in agreement.0 -
Our 12 fixed price of 30p/litre has just come to an end and we received a letter on 20th. October advising that with effect from 19th. October the price would increase by 15.5p/litre. (51.7%), The letter was anticipated, the amount of increase wasn't.!
No rational was provided and this pushes us into the 'fuel poverty' category for the provision of our LPG alone and ignoring our electricity.
As state pensioners this is causing us some trauma as we are off grid and LPG provides our heating and hot water.
Naturally we will take them to task over this with the valuable information on this thread and researching alternatives, but any solid information of recent similar experiences would be most welcome.
I will log our journey here.........wish us luck! :mad:0 -
I am just checking out suppliers prices right now. I was with Countrywide but they were taken over by Flogas. I have tried to talk to Flogas but they had to book a call back as they were busy. Still waiting 5 days later. I have had 2 decent quotes so far at 36p per litre + £60 tank rental. Is anyone getting anything better? I cant seem to get any credit like I did 2 years ago, has this stopped? These quotes are far more than I am paying now. Right now i pay 32.5 per litre.
Let me know what you have signed up to recently.0 -
