Travel insurance to cover missed uk flight
Just realised my current annual policy does not cover missed flights in the uk. Of course, planning to leave with plenty of time but who knows. Would rather pay a few quid just in case. Trouble is it seems a lot of insurers only cover international flights leaving the uk not internal flights.

Haven Holidays
Hi Guys. I booked a week away with the wife and kids through Haven themselves on their website. I have now been back on the website and seen the same deal for much less than what I paid...:mad: any ideas on what to do apart from phoning them up and going mental :rotfl::rotfl:. Thanks in advance.

carefully read terms of the theatre royal bath
Hi, due to the severe weather my wife and I are unable to travel and attend a play at the Theatre Royal Bath. I contacted the theatre who told me my ticket were non refundable. However I was told that was not totally the case if the show was in high demand and they could sell the ticket again then a refund was possible, I…

Airbnb
Thoughts or experiences? I am going to do a little travelling around Europe late this year off the beaten track. Heading for Sweden and then down to Germany and across east to Greece and hoping to finish off in Portugal. I am not the biggest fan of Hotels as I find them too sterile in many cases and expensive, so getting…

to motorhome or not to motorhome (or caravan)
Hi, keen to canvass as many opinions as possible about motor-home/caravaning, the good and the bad please. I used to think it was a more frugal option (which is a tune I hope we can all dance to) but once you've paid for site fee's and fuel + ferries if you're going abroad, not to mention the initial outlay it quickly adds…

Malham Cove
Hi, My wife has a birthday on 07.06. I wanted to take her and the kids (3 children) to Malham Cove. There are several Guest Houses and Inns in Malham, but it looks like there are no vacancies in any of them in the period 07-10.06. Does anybody know if there is something going on there at the time or is there any other…

Isle of Wight Ferry advice sought
Apologies if this has been asked before but I didn't get an answer on searching. We're off to the Isle of Wight in the summer, two adults and a dog. We've been advised to book tickets in advance as the ferries get busy. Getting there for a particular time will add quite a bit more pressure on the day. DH isn't in great…

Hotel deducted full amount from card at booking
We travel quite often in the UK and at the end of March are going to be in Somerset for the weekend. We stayed in a village inn there last year and thought we would book it again. Last year I was asked to supply my credit card details in advance but was not charged until we left. We used booking.com last year and so booked…

Good hotels for a friend with health issues
My friend would like a weekend away for her 40th birthday. Anyone know where I can find a hotel that 1) Looks pretty 2) Has an old building or 2 nearby 3) Has a decent choice of gluten free food 4) Will serve breakfast in our room after 11am...ME means her body clock is screwed. 5)Has a lift to reach the upper…

Help travelling via London
Hi I am travelling from Norwich to Brighton. The route I have seen on the trainline website is to get the train from Norwich to Stratford (London), then the Tube from Stratford (London) to London Bridge (I am assuming when I first get to Stratford the train won't stop at the underground or will it)? I then need to get from…

Concert Ticket Refund Advice
I purchased tickets 2 months ago to a concert called the Queen Extravaganza, an official Queen tribute organised by Brian May and Roger Taylor. The reason I purchased the tickets was the lead singer Marc Martel who is about the closest thing to the late Freddie Mercury you will ever see or hear. Now 2 months later the…

Barnstaple area visiting suggestions, anyone?
Have thrown a dart at the map and we're off to Barnstaple in a couple of weeks for a weekend break. We're totally unfamiliar with the area but would appreciate any suggestions for places of interest to visit, particularly indoorsy-type venues given possible end-Feb weather! A couple in 60's, no kids (thank God!). Any…
