London restaurant recommendations please
Hi, we are going to London in a months time and would like recommendations for where to eat please? 1 of the party is quite fussy and likes simple foods, fillet steak, hunters chicken etc. I don’t want to spend silly money but don’t mind £30ish for a steak. We will be staying at Novotel London West and as a final thing it…

Ideas for partners birthday - 12th May 2018
So I'd like to take my partner away for a night on 12th May for her birthday. Not dead set on location, but we're based in Dorset, so wouldn't really want to go anything more than around 2 hours travel as it's just the one night. Suggestions on where to stay? Ideally, looking for somewhere where we can go out for a nice…

We are spending the weekend in central London and was wondering if anyone could recommend anything different to do than the normal touristy things? Quite like walking round areas but open to anything really!

House sitting
Hi, I've got some time off next week and thought about house sitting to discover a new part of the country/get to spend some time caring for pets. Does anyone do this, which website is the best? How hard is it for new house sitters to get jobs as such? Thanks

Scottish eagles
We're planning a trip to Scotland in July, its my daughters dream to see a golden eagle in the wild. Can anyone tell which island would be best to stay on, I'm thinking either Mull or Islay, and can anyone recommend a tour we could go on to increase our chance? Or is there somewhere we could go, cheaper than a tour, that…

Travel insurance to cover missed uk flight
Just realised my current annual policy does not cover missed flights in the uk. Of course, planning to leave with plenty of time but who knows. Would rather pay a few quid just in case. Trouble is it seems a lot of insurers only cover international flights leaving the uk not internal flights.

Airbnb
Thoughts or experiences? I am going to do a little travelling around Europe late this year off the beaten track. Heading for Sweden and then down to Germany and across east to Greece and hoping to finish off in Portugal. I am not the biggest fan of Hotels as I find them too sterile in many cases and expensive, so getting…

to motorhome or not to motorhome (or caravan)
Hi, keen to canvass as many opinions as possible about motor-home/caravaning, the good and the bad please. I used to think it was a more frugal option (which is a tune I hope we can all dance to) but once you've paid for site fee's and fuel + ferries if you're going abroad, not to mention the initial outlay it quickly adds…

Isle of Wight Ferry advice sought
Apologies if this has been asked before but I didn't get an answer on searching. We're off to the Isle of Wight in the summer, two adults and a dog. We've been advised to book tickets in advance as the ferries get busy. Getting there for a particular time will add quite a bit more pressure on the day. DH isn't in great…
