Woolacombe - dog friendly?

Hi,
We are visiting Woolacombe next month (Sun holiday) and are looking for some (cheap!) things to do with the kids (10 and 6) but that are dog friendly as our pooch is coming along.
I know there are a few dog friendly beaches, we are also planning a trip to the big sheep which has kennels we can use but is there anywhere else nearby that I may have over looked?
