All Inclusive Studio Student Accommodation
Hi Guys. People say sometimes student studio accommodation is worth it b/c it is all inclusive. I mean it does even have laundry, gym etc. So might be sad to see it go, but I need to go back home and am looking for someone to take over my lease at Scape Shoreditch. Anyone have any suggestions on where to find another…

Second Degree, Integrated Masters and ELQs
Hello, I have read a lot and I still feel very confused so I'm here seeking clarity, if possible. I have a BA (Honours) in Slavonic Studies, which I started in 2008 and graduated in 2011. For some time I have wanted to return to university to retrain as a physicist. I've looked into every other option, and it seems a…

Scared Student Stress Will Send Me Into Debt
I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I'm a bit of an idiot a lot of the time I'm afraid. I'm currently a PhD student in my final year. I'm on a really good bursary (just over £1000 monthly) and I know that should be more than enough to let me live comfortably and still save plenty. I managed to find a really…

My DD has a job at her place of Uni and works holidays at home. She doesn't overlap so only ever paid for one job at a time. Student loan arrears voluntary payment mistake
Hi, I'm sleepless in Japan at the moment - it's 7am tomorrow! I graduated from Uni in 2008, and recently my dear Mother informed me while we discussed my grandfather's passing away on Remembrance Sunday that the SLC were also asking for their money back. She saves letters, but usually forwards them twice a year in the…

NatWest graduate account tiered overdraft - have they forgotten me?
Hi all, just a small question here. NatWest offers a tiered interest-free overdraft to graduates, with £2000 interest-free throughout the first year after graduation, £1000 after the second and finally £500 throughout the third. So the overdraft remains at £2k, but the interest-free portion slowly drops year-by-year.…

Sponsorship for student
I need to raise the £9,000 for one year of tuition for my son at Rambert School of Ballet. Student Finance will not loan the money as he is repeating a year (having transferred from another uni) and the diploma he receives at the end of this year is the same as the one he received at the end of the last year. He was…

When are student loans written off?
I have 3 loans from 1996, 1997, 1998 and are on the old mortgage style loans. They were taken out through the SLC but were taken over by Erudio 4 years ago. I am now 45 and live in England (Loans were also taken out in England). I have never earned over the threshold and therefore have not paid these back. I read in some…
