What would I be entitled to?

I am a single parent who receives no maintenance from my ex husband. My children are 15 (and will be starting college in September) and 18 (and will finish college in June, currently works 22 hours a week, but hasn't got anything more permanent lined up).
I am looking at doing a nursing degree. I've been told by the SLC that I will be entitled to an NHS bursary (£9kpa) and the reduced rate non-income assisted maintenance loan (from what I can see, this is £3.2k max).
Would I be entitled to anything else? Housing benefit, child tax credit? etc.
At the moment I work 42 hours a week, so I will be taking a huge loss on the two figures above. I'm hoping I might be entitled to a bit more so I can improve my lot in life.
BTW I am an elderly student (46)

Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live the longest.

This only applies from 2017
The change will only affect new students starting their courses from 1 August 2017. There will be no changes for those students already studying and in receipt of an NHS bursary who started their courses before 1 August 2017. Students who accept a place for 2016 but defer and commence their courses after 1 August 2017 will be funded on the standard student support system.0 -
I would be more concerned that somebody who claims to hate people is considering a degree in nursing  Would a less people-focussed career be more appropriate?
Regarding funding, students are not entitled to housing benefit and haven't been for years. Some information about Child Tax credit while studying here:

At age 46 you will be at least 50/51 when you graduate (assuming you have A levels already and can start your studies this year), which leaves just under 15 years or so to pay back what you can of your student loan. An interesting article about this in the Telegraph

Paying back a student loan is hardly going to be at the top of anybody's priorities, nor should it be. Your reply was less than helpful.0 -

Thanks for the correction. I checked carefully that the information wasn't out of date but forgot to check whether it applied immediately.:o0 -

..but relevant, given the OP's stance towards others who have done the same.0
