Non vocational level 4 Business administration courses - Any Value?

I'm desperate to obtain a L4 Business and Administration qualification so that I can consider an assessor tutor role in that area. I am unable to do an NVQ as my current job role does cover the necessary unit evidence requirements and my bosses aren't very helpful.
I have seen many courses called L4 Business Management and Administration. that can be done online, ie distance learning.
Can anyone tell me if these are worth anything? Are they recognised by employers? Or can anyone point me to any credible distance learning Business admin courses?
