Any point closing old stooz cards?
Hi, previously I would just close old stooz cards to make my life simpler / card drawer emptier! But never sure whether this is a good or bad idea. I have 3 "spent" stooz cards now with total limit over £30K. Other cards have total limits around another £50K. SO, smart to close or better to keep open? Thoughts welcome.…

Best credit card?
Hi all, being new to credit cards - I started with a Amex BA (blue) card which I pay off each month in full to collect Avois points and build more of a credit score. I’m also cashing in Tesco Clubcard points for more Avois as this card seems like the best for rewards etc. Is there anything out there that’s better? Either…

Section 75 HELP
Hi all. We have had a new bathroom fitted and due to Section 75 protection we paid the company doing the work a £1000 deposit via our Credit Card. Its fair to say that the company that fitted the bathroom should be on cowboy builders as they have done a terrible job. Tiling looks terrible, the pipes that were supposed to…

think ill be paying down my cards
Moving a balance in a few months, Halifax offered me a joke of a limit, the sort of limit people who need to build up their trustworthiness get. sainsburies was at least in the 1000s but below the amount requested, the lowest limit I have had since started using 0% cards. I am guessing my affordability calculations arent…

Big spending coming up - how best to do it?
We are currently converting a property and are coming to the stage where we are buying lots of big items such as appliances. I'm wondering if we'd be better putting it all on a credit card (or three!) or going interest free store loans - with a view to paying them off quite quickly. Is there a particular card that's…
